Maudell:   DJ Maudell is a force to be reckoned with in the Bay Area.  Categorized as one of the top DJ’s in the Bay, DJ Maudell has single handedly placed himself in such a highly coveted position.

Humble beginnings:   Maudell always had a passion for music; however, DJing wasn’t an option in 2007.  It was during this time that Maudell was in a motorcycle accident that resulted in a broken back, fractured hip, two broken wrists and a broken collar bone.  Unsure of what the future would hold and whether or not he would ever walk again; March 3, 2007, marked the beginning of his new life.

His determination, strong work ethic and most importantly, love for music became the determining factors for Maudell’s ultimate success to date.  Alone, he maneuvered through his biggest obstacle; his handicap.  He slowly overcame this obstacle and delivered his love for music to the masses.  With no mentor and no guidance, Maudell taught himself to deliver music by using his laptop, turntables and Serato.  With a creative mind and a small music library he began learning the art of beat matching and scratching.

First break:  Maudell got his first break in the summer of 2008, while DJing in a backyard.  He was approached by one of San Francisco’s top promoters and asked if he would like to be the opening DJ at one of his events.

This break opened the floodgates for Maudell. He went from being an opening DJ to a headlining DJ in just a matter of weeks.  His most notable events include those for the Golden State Warriors, San Francisco 49ers and Oakland Raiders.  These events gave Maudell the opportunity to become the exclusive DJ for events hosted by notable athletes such as Frank Gore and Marshawn Lynch.   Blessed with the opportunity to travel across the United States, Maudell was hired to DJ exclusive events hosted by top Billboard names as well as Grammy winners such as Drake, Rick Ross, Pleasure P, Trey Songz, Melanie Fiona, Nipsey Hussle, Marcus Houston, Omarion, Bobby Valentino, Lloyd and Miguel.

Working his way through the music scene proved not to be enough for Maudell.  In 2011, he was recognized and sponsored by one of the top audio/video cable manufacturers in the world, Monster Cable also famous for the production of Beats by Dre.  Having been recognized as a “Famous Monster DJ” is an accolade Maudell holds close to his heart. 

No holding him back:   Previously known as DJ Double R, Maudell has gained a massive following attracting a diverse crowd of people through his ability to mix any genre of music that includes EDM, Techno, Freestyle, Hip-hop and R&B.  Maudell took DJing to the next level and began throwing his own events.  These event has become highly recognized throughout the Bay Area and more recently in Ensenada, Mexico by the infamous Papa’s and Beer.  In addition to this, Maudell has made an appearance on Revolt TV and continues to guest DJ on the Bay Area’s Hot 105.7.  Outside of music, Maudell donates his time and funds to a community charity that supports women with breast cancer.  He is recognized for his community service in his hometown of Pittsburg, CA by the former Mayor and his County’s Supervisor, Federal Glover.  Keep an eye out for Maudell as he continues to grace the masses with his music from the Bay Area and beyond.
