Mange Le Funk was formed in 1998 by musically minded buddies Maurice Bird (Musician/Producer/DJ) & Suff Sakoor (Producer/DJ). 

Maurice having first started writing music in 1988 as a member of the groundbreaking unsung heroes of U.K. acid house Adrenalin MOD working alongside some of the best talent of the day, such as Detroit techno Legend Derek May, The Legend,Graham Parks, Producers Richie Fermie, Daren Mohamed, Jagz Kooner, The Wee Papa Girl Rappers & the amazing Rose Windross. 

Mange Le Funk were renowned for their live DJ sets where they incorporated ideas from the studio into their sets. Originally Northampton based, the duo enjoyed 10 years as resident DJ’s at some of the hottest venues in
Northampton the midlands and London...Luxe, Tabasco Jazz, Fever, The Balloon Bar, Aunty Ruths and The Player (Northampton) Birmingham based club Miss Moneypennys/Fuel and Release the Pressure London

Best known for the timeless house music anthem “I Still Want You” originally released in 1999, remixed by Deep Liquid Soul, Robbie Rivera & signed to numerous labels worldwide, including Release the Groove (UK),Gut Records (UK) and OXYD records(Italy) Hed Kandi licensed the for the compilation album Disco Kandi 5, Azuli Records Miami 2001 album & Ministry of Sound records. Hailed as a top ten track in Ibiza and also the Miami Music Conference 2001. The Duo received chart success worldwide. 

Standing the test of time in 2010 “I Still Want You” received a re-release with new mixes from Bellatrax, The Revenge, Gramophondize & released on Hed Kandi & Oxyd Records(Italy)

In 2010 the duo both took time out to concentrate on solo musical production & In 2015 they created the concept/club event “One NIght Love Affair” (ONLA) with the “The Mange Le Funk Collective”, essentially a group of friends & DJ’s, all with the idea just to enjoy playing music, have good times & throw top notch parties. ONLA have since hosted events in Northampton/Brighton/London & will be holding new events in the future

Present day 2020, the duo are still working closely together with releases on Pretty Chief, Records, Yoonek Records and Ten Lovers Music under Suff Sakoor/Dj Suff from Mange Le Funk/The African Sunset
Project/Beathaven/MLF productions

As a celebration of 21 years together, the duo now decided to take their next & natural step the creation of Mange Le Funk Productions the record label.  New music combining the history of 35 years of the love and influence of Jazz Funk, Disco, Rare Grooves, Hip Hop, Electro, Acid House, Techno, Soulful House, Afro & Latin House Funk, Broken beat styles.
