It is hard to believe the calendar or trust the GPS when you wish to be out of time, out of place, sharing the oxygen and geography with no other creature. Even harder to accept the clock or the map, so you repeat: “This is Berlin, not Tierra del Fuego, Poughkeepsie or Dubai, much less Hogwarts or Oz.” Here you are, connected, located by satellite, mobile, googlable, always in the attachment, twinkling like a star and twittered, your face on the book, my space is your space. Here I am, with a registered address, full of social security, a part of your whole, a member of the club, a resident, an alien, you can locate me better than I can find my navel, my cock, my anus, I sign up, I type in, I log on, I fade out. 52°30'N 13°23'E. Sunshine Terror weds terror and serenity, a fleeting calm in the eye of a hurricane, while Plague Raver pays tribute to an especially unhinged period of nightlife in New York. Ignoring the T-99 Anasthasia stab mania, each track on Milkshake adds new orchestral stabs to the canon, from Verdi’s Dies Irae to John Williams’ film scores. The EP is rounded out by legendary darkcore producer Catscan’s remix of Milkshake, a club-ready anthem that recalls the explosive sound of his early catalog.

Rashad Becker's new full length album, 'Traditional Music of Notional Species Vol II', due for release next month on PAN is a newly developed continuation and exploration of work since his highly-acclaimed first 
volume.

Incorporating more instrumental-sounding components, the record moves through both fluid and dissonant sounds which take on different structural and sculptural challenges through carefully-layered compositions. 

Following 'Traditional Music of Notional Species Vol I', the new album expands in various elements, distorted and warped, focusing in on the tension and energy of synthesized sounds that appear to exist hauntingly physically.

Known for his unrivalled attention to sonic detail across his work, Becker's unique techniques and expressive manipulations of sound are laid bare in an exhilarating new form, stylistically distinctive and uncompromising. 

The album is mastered and cut by Rashad Becker at D&M, featuring artwork by Bill Kouligas.
