Our next release sees two of South African's rising stars Alpha & Olmega teaming up with Sheyi who's probably best know for his amazing percussion skills at our Tribe events..

..   Sheyi has recently made the transformation from percussionist to vocalist and along with Alpha & Olmega, has created a awesome piece of energetic afro house that we're sure will be in your CD wallets for months to come!   

Alpha & Olmega (Xolani Dlamini & Vusimuzi Chirwa) hail from the dusty streets of Soweto, South Africa. From a young age, these talented individuals knew they had music in their blood discovering their producing skills while playing around with their computer in one of their friends bedrooms, where locals would come and perform with instruments and percussion and their enthusiasm for house music grew from there.

Last year, Alpha & Olmega decided to bring their talents to the world, armed with nothing more than a hard drive filled with beats and a heart full of dreams, they immersed themselves in the city’s club culture. Their first big release which also featured Sheyi on vocals ‘Islandiwana’ was picked up by Nulu Records in the US and now there is a big anticipation for their follow up release.

Sheyi's take on the project...

'The African drummer' ensemble has its origins in the Royal Kraal's of Soweto and Oba's Palaces of the old Yoruba Kingdoms. Drum and Dance.... the order of the day... till day break! 

...Whilst the ancestral Percussive drums would announce the dance entourage within the various mixes.. to culminate in the vocal message of Zepherin Saint's mix which emphasizes our 'Dance and Love' culture in these beloved modern times...'

The package includes remixes from Italy's main man Fabio Genito, Toronto’s Trinidadian Deep and our very own Zepherin Saint.  This one is sure to ‘make them dance!

The long awaited follow up to Mt Life and Dance by US Sensation Chanel, teaming up with UK's Pat Bedeau dubstep & Garage pioneer Steve Gurley

Just Can't Wait Ft. Chanel is the debut release from brand new independent UK Label Strictly Music, headed up by DJ/ Producer Pat Bedeau. A label devoted to uncompromising high quality soulful house music. For the labels 1st release Pat teamed up with one of house musics Legends and long time friend Steve Gurley and American artist Chanel.

With his Dark Browne mix Al gives the track a fitting rework. The mix keeps the essence of the original but works the drums and gives it his trademark heavy bassline and gives it a very UK feel, call it dubstep, call it bassline, call it UK funky, whatever it is it works.

Also on remix duties are Alpha & Olmega from Johannesberg, South Africa, Pat hooked up with the pair as they remixed Afro Gods FT Sheyi with Pat & DJ Romain on Nufaze records, which reached the top 20 of the Traxsource top 100 on his debut release. Pat loved what they did on their mix and asked if they would give the same treatment to Just Can't Wait and they did not disappoint, their mix is typical of their production style, tight beats, rhythmic drums, lush chords and a thumping bassline, that deliver a smooth interpretation of the original version.

The Long Firm

The Long Firm are Dan Peters and Sean J Vincent, come with a dubstep mix, which explodes with great synths and a stunning dirty bassline and takes the vocals.

For the Tech heads there is the Kenny Large Mix, Kenny out of Amsterdam, who worked with Pat on the Day and Night Album, comes with the tech vibe and gives his take on this track, with a scattering of the lyrics.

Tom Peters delivers a Pendullum style Drum and bass mix to finish off the package taking in nearly every house genre, truly something for everyone

Introducing Chanel, the girl who is no stanger to the UK dance music scene, she has already had smash hits in the UK with her tracks My Life and Dance.

Chanel attended Dillard School of the Performing Arts, and she went on to receive a B. A. Degree in Mass Communications from Bethune-Cookman College where she performed in the Concert Choir, Vesper Chorus and the Gospel Choir.

In 2005, "My Life", was licensed to Jazz FM London and released on its dance label, Hed Kandi. From there, it exploded out of the UK urban soul underground like a bush fire onto national radio, receiving solid club rotation, heavy radio and video airplay to become a mainstay club classic spawning Top 40 national chart hits in the UK, France, and Scandinavia and being licensed worldwide on over 60 compilations.

CHANEL's single, My Life, which is backed by the instantly recognizable Crusaders sample from their classic hit Street Life, over which CHANEL has layered a self-penned soul track that has already become a cult hit in the U. K. The original promo found its way to the offices of Smooth FM where the unsigned, unknown track was soon causing the switchboard to jam every time it was played and has now become the most requested track on their play list. CHANEL's single, My Life, reached # 1 on Music Weeks Upfront Club Top 40. My Life is currently on the in-flight play list to Hong Kong. With overseas acclaim, and an ever-growing street, radio and internet fan base the name "CHANEL" has become a buzzword throughout the music industry.
