SHXCXCHCXSH – "Elocution"

Emmanuel Top's "Turkish Bazar" known as an acid techno classic of the 90's got a new facelift by Max Aristid. The Max Aristid bootleg includes the original vocal sample by Jim Morrison & The Doors (An American Prayer). The official Beatport version is called "Chromed Molecules" featuring female vocals by "Pixie". (Release 20.2.15)

The vocal sample "Black Polished Chrome" is interpreted in an artistic way by means of clear bell atmo (Korg Wavestation) and metallic Roland TR-808 HiHats. The acid bassline is a unique version inspired by the original track. Heavy sub-bass compression is achieved by legendary Universal Audio hardware compressor "1176" in crunchy "All Button Modus"… Take a journey into acid.

Chromed Molecules (feat. Pixie)

New York City–based producer Ford Scott makes his label debut with four club-ready weapons that fuse deep minimal grooves with high-energy drive. Drawing inspiration from 90s house while adding his own modern edge, Ford has caught the attention of some of the scene’s biggest names with his innovative basslines, meticulous sound design, and relentless dancefloor focus.

The A-side opens with Watch Out, a crafty, rolling bassline paired with sleek, layered synth work and captivating sound design. Next up, Work That Body delivers suspense-filled builds and explosive drops, pairing hypnotic vocal chops with a punchy bassline for a full-throttle dancefloor weapon.

On the B-side, The Message channels 90s hip-hop swagger into a groovy, bass-driven cut with intricate melodic textures and fluid, evolving atmospheres. Closing out the EP, Can’t Sit Down turns up the heat with futuristic synth stabs, a driving low end, and a tightly-wound arrangement that refuses to let the energy drop.

Slam drop their 2nd release of 2018 as the duo continue to develop their unique and hard-hitting sound with the Constructivism EP. Despite the pair’s heavy touring schedule, they consistently deliver ever more impressive releases each time, exploring the realms of dance floor orientated Techno.   Opening with Mellifluous, surging synths are propelled by tough kicks and driving percussive elements yet the whole track is tied together by deep and emotive pads. Pantera begins to take things up a notch. A seemingly more stripped back approach gives way to hypnotic rhythms and effect drum workouts. Paradox lifts things further still, building gradually through effective use of subtle FX and a very in your face track structure. Title track Constructivism a colossal EMB cut, road-tested by the pair at Berghain just two weeks ago, closes out the EP. A well crafted and constantly evolving sequence burns at the heart and drives this monster home with furious energy.

One and a half years since her last outing on Second State, Amelie Lens returns to the label with her highly anticipated new 3-tracker, ‘Hypnotized EP‘. Following up to the much acclaimed ‘Basiel EP’ issued in 2018 through her own imprint, Lenske, Amelie steps up right in time for the much busy festival season ahead with a pair of razor-sharp peaktime weapons, plus a nasty gabber-inflected remix from rising Belgian duo Joyhauser. With upcoming dates including performances at Sónar, Movement, Awakenings, Exit, Kappa Future and Sonus, needless to say these are bound to get dance floors on fire this summer.

Having triggered a massive response from the audience during her sets over the last year, the title track ’Hypnotized‘ breaks the ice on a fiercely pounding note. Flexing out the heavy kick artillery, brooding chord stabs and cascading snares while Amelie’s delayed vox hooks steadily sink us into a whelming state of trance. Reaching for the most remote recesses of the dancers’ minds, ‘Access’ revs up the engine a notch further with its psychoactive synthwaves, furling and swirling across full bars of louder than loud 909 thump. Adding their euphoric spin to the lead cut, ‘Hypnotized’, Joyhauser seal the deal with an all-out ravey anthem of a rework, custom-built for epic, warehouse-sized maneuvers and iron-pumping mid-set apexes. The Berlin native Max Aristid Thürmer already explored the effect of electronic sounds as a teenager. At his sound laboratory in a basement arch, he experimented with electronic sounds and during that time he already came to the conclusion that music consists of composed emotions®. Thereby both, his motto and his claim are very clear: »Sensing Sound«. Max’s creativity is inspired by nature. »Often, there are noises in everyday life which lead me to new and exciting sounds.«

After a guest performance in the British Dance Charts, Max is currently working on new studio projects.
