With just a vocal to work with, they decided to produce something with the 90s, uplifting vibe dancefloors would be needing. Demonstrating the same addictive, dancefloor-ready grooves seen on their previous collabs like ‘Get Toast’ and ‘Blood Orange’, this latest joint venture once again delivers the heat. With its deep organ bassline, playful keys and irresistible 4/4 swing, this record oozes club appeal in a way you can only expect from producers rooted firmly in the scene. Solid Grooves Records co-founder PAWSA readies his second full release on the label with a remix from Denmark’s Anek.

2016 has been pivotal for Solid Grooves as not only has the event series concluded a highly successful debut season in Ibiza but the imprint has quickly cemented itself as an essential platform for house and techno, fast becoming a favourite for names like Adam Beyer, Huxley, James Zabiela, Nicole Moudaber and Groove Armada whilst dominating the upper end of Beatport’s charts. Alongside Michael Bibi, PAWSA is at the helm of Solid Grooves - a producer known for appearances on Gruuv, MOOD, Relief Records, Do Not Sleep and Lost Records.

From the off ‘Twiple Fwet’ demonstrates PAWSA’s inimitable percussive style before introducing a rumbling bassline and looped vocal sample that’s destined to keep crowds moving. ‘Angel Dust’ then meanders forward using crunchy drums as sporadic beeps and echoing effects add to the heightening tension. Concluding the package, Anek’s remix of ‘Twiple Fwet’ incorporates syncopated percussion, menacing throbs and spacelike effects.

Mason delivers ‘Loosen Up’ on Toolroom this July as he reveals the first single from this forthcoming album, backed by a remix from Illyus & Barrientos.
Amsterdam-based DJ and producer Mason’s career has seen the Dutch native evolve his unique sound over twenty years, releasing material via a host of leading imprints including Island Records, Defected, Kittball, Skint and Sweat It Out, whilst playing playing sets in over fifty countries across the globe including at ADE, Tomorrowland and Space, Ibiza. Following the release of ‘The Get Down’ alongside ATFC on Toolroom’s recent ‘T2’ collaboration compilation, September welcomes fresh material on the label as he delivers the first single from his new album, ‘Frisky Biscuits'. The album follows two previous Mason long players and will feature a host of talented features and guests.
The first single ‘Loosen Up' showcases Mason’s irreverent, playful side and combines disco influenced vibes with subtle keys, infectious vocal hooks and refined percussion to create a smile inducing, sun-soaked production ready to take on the summer, whilst Illyus & Barrientos’ remix highlights the original’s vocal hooks with a blend of warped synths and a slick, driving bassline to shape up another impressive release on Toolroom.
