We are happy to present you the new Klangwelt release produced by italian newcomer '1979'.
His demos directly drew some attention half a year ago and we instantly knew we found a new member of the Klangwelt family in him. His music can be described as soulful, organic sounding tech house and like in the italian kitchen, he is using simple but high quality ingredients to make his style this tasty. No more words of us needed , we will leave Giovanni a little space to tell you more about this release:

"FROM THE LIGHTHOUSE" was produced and recorded during the summer of 2015.
I usually spend most part of the hot season in a seaside resort near Venice, and even last year I've been there for nearly one month. It's really a great place to chill it out! When I came back home from there, I felt "sad" to be absent of this wonderful place.. In this state of melancholy , I started recording stuff in my studio, making some beats and finally put together a bunch of good ideas. I mainly have used some strange lo-fi field recordings, analogue synths from my collection and I also recorded a few pieces from my house's piano. The Ep wants simply (to) tell the story about some seaside adventures, odd characters and to celebrate a handful of lovely days near a Lighthouse in the Adriatic Sea.

For his debut Ep ‘Agartha‘ , Tel Aviv´s producer Tomer is approaching music with the fragility of ambient, classical influenced spheres and sensitive piano melodies combined with a minimal and highly qualitative percussion skeleton that reminds us on productions by Nils Frahm together with Olafur Arnalds or Tom Day. The sound stays crystal clear, alert and subtle while it has an indescribable drive within itself. Tomer told us that: "This EP reflects my honest feelings and my imaginary mind melting together into one world." Out of this the almost spiritual Name 'Agartha' was born. The two melodic Techno/ Electronica productions give us a glimpse into his repertoire and leave us with the need for more. 

For a special attendance we invited our friends Mononoid who are known for their progressive and well balanced music. They just recently released their first album on Einmusika and we are happy to have their interpretation of Tomer´s 'The Raven' on Klangwelt. They created a wonderful journey and  transport us into the world of Deep House heavyweights like Matthias Meyer, Lee Buridge or Luca Bacchetti. For us the perfect addition to make this release a Klangwelt stunner.

Akiles and Claver after an intense trajectory as musicians and producers of different projects found in electronic music the perfect path to develop their most personal sound and decided to found D.S.E.M. in 2015. With influences of ´80s and 90's dance sound, House, Techno, and emblematic punk rock bands their particular style is characterised by elegance, depth, care for details and sensual vocals.
After releasing several studio projects and collaborations with some artists of the national and international electronic music scene D.S.E.M. present their new LP “The Lighthouse”: production that reflects perfectly their most personal side. Tracks like “Oceania Lights” and “Underwater” are cuts full of shades that through vocals and instruments create a world of lights and shadows for the listener. While songs like “The Hive” and “Cast the Spell” immerse themselves in Tech House/Deep sounds suitable for the summer season in which we are. In conclusion a LP in which the variety of styles make it perfect both for listening calmly at home or for enjoying on the dancefloor of any club or festival.

This original track had a really nice piano riff along with an interesting groove and some weird noises, perfect remix material! Also I love what Mauro Norti has been doing, and Wide Angle, so I got involved. I think I did a lot of the ideas for this one during a wait for a delayed flight in an airport, and I was feeling pretty tired at the time, and a bit paranoid because some weird guy sitting opposite seemed to be staring at me. Then some other guy came up to me with a mobile phone in two pieces, slightly freakily shouting words of English that made no sense and trying to give me this phone, I never managed to figure out what he was on about. Anyway, this track was my escapism from all that crap, I tried to make something nice and relaxing and enveloping to remove me from reality a little, hope you like it.

Max Cooper is an electronic composer, multi-disciplinary artist, music label founder and former scientist who has carved out a unique space in music and visual art.

He holds a PhD in computational biology at the same time as being the first contemporary electronic musician to perform at the ancient Acropolis theatre in Athens and one of the first clutch of musicians to produce in Dolby Atmos.

Cooper has enquired for over 15 years through music, collaborations, and his label Mesh, to explore the intersections between the arts and sciences with installations, performances, immersive experiences, online media, music videos and live events.  Anchored throughout is his emotive approach, connecting how ideas and forms feel, in a manner accessible to us all. 
 
As an artist synonymous with the evolution of club culture, Cooper honed his craft as a DJ with a 10 year residency at legendary Midlands techno event Firefly where he formed a foundational relationship with Architecture Social Club, with whom he still collaborates on extravagant immersive installations.

"I want to encourage the acceptance of electronic music as an art form like any other. Bringing electronic music and abstract audio-visual projects into concert halls, museums and galleries is liberating - the art world opens up doors to communicate in ways that aren’t possible elsewhere."
  
Pivoting from computational biology to electronic music might not seem like the most natural career transition, but for Cooper the commonalities are obvious:
 
"In both fields, you're in a sense, free. Free from the limits of living systems, free from the limits of corporeal sound. The only constraints are in your mind."
