Jamie Jones recruits Max Dean for ‘Start Screamin’ on Hottrax this July. 

Previously appearing on Resonance, Deeperfect, South Records, and more, Max Dean’s productions receive vast amounts of support from the likes of Michael Bibi and Jamie Jones. Now readying his first release for Jones’ Hottrax imprint, the UK-based DJ/producer drops two groove-laden tracks, marking some of his strongest productions to date. 

Leading the release, the title track ‘Start Scream’ brings swung drums, bouncy basslines, and memorable vocal licks together for an undeniable groover. ‘Yes Baby’ follows suit, bringing another welcome house cut, peppered with spoken word and eerie synth hits over funky low end and skippy percussion.

Born in South East London and raised on Jungle, Garage, and Grime, Ozzie Guven brings a raw, attitude-laced edge to his take on House music. With years of graft behind him, Ozzie has landed on imprints like MicroHertz, BeeYou, and neXup, drawing support from scene leaders including Michael Bibi, Enzo Siragusa, and Seth Troxler. With a stacked 2025 ahead—including a heavy Ibiza run with Eastenderz and Do Not Sleep—he hits a new milestone as Jamie Jones welcomes him to Hottrax with ‘Give Me The Music’, featuring a no-nonsense pair of peak-time groovers. 

“I thought ‘Give Me The Music’ was gone forever when my old laptop broke, where the project was saved. I was gutted to be losing the track, and had just about moved on until, to my surprise, I heard ALISHA play it at Music On. Ozzie sets the pace with ‘Give Me The Music’, a heavy, funk-laced track driven by stomping grooves and spacey organ lines. On the flip, ‘Whip It’ follows with a fierce Garage edge, its tight, jabbing rhythms offset by smooth, House-style chords. With ‘Give Me The Music’, Ozzie adds serious firepower to the Hottrax catalogue, with the two tracks set to tear up sound systems all summer long.
