It’s always a beautiful day when Crossy drops off some new music at Born On Road HQ. The last time he did so was back in 2021 when he curated our Future Blends V/A album, providing us with the classic “Born On Road” anthem featuring the late Skibadee. While he may not have released often in the past, this year we’re going to see some exciting, consistent manoeuvres from Crossy – starting with the release of a new single. Featuring the vocals of Jman, and aptly titled “Detonation”, this single is destined to cause damage in the rave. Crossy loves a silly tune, pass it on.

There are some majorly exciting up-and-coming names beginning to cause waves in drum and bass recently, and Jenks is undoubtedly one of them. We featured him on the label last March when his Rave Bands EP landed with an almighty punch, and now he’s back with a two-tracker. “Frequency / Chimes” provides two windows into the mind of a producer who’s as versatile as they come. The release follows on from Jenks having a breakthrough year in 2023 – securing big releases on Elevate Records with “Shotta” and  an “Allstars Mic” with Comma Dee on DnB Allstars.

Welcoming Cliques & Eksman to the label with new single “Buried”. They may not have released on Born On Road before, but we’re sure many of you know exactly what they’re capable of. Surely you’ve heard Eksman’s “MHITR (Semi-Automatic)” lyrics donning the rave? Or maybe you came across Cliques’ “Stay With Me” single on Elevate Records last month. But if you’re not familiar, then all you’ve got to do is whack on this track and you’ll soon know… Ready, steady, bassline heavy. This one’s just a bit naughty. See you on the other side.
