Just an orchestral re-imagining of a theme many in the west have yet to hear.  It's got undertones of both Final Fantasy, Star Wars (lol) and Dragon Quest in its DNA.  Shining Force 2 composer, Motoaki Takenouchi's earliest work that I can find that very much finds its own rhythm while also taking cues from Sugiyama, stylistically.
