Sinking is about a really hard time in my life. I was going through a really hard period of mental that occurred during the COVID lockdowns. On one hand,  everything in my life was going great from my music, my friends, my studies but I just could not help but see the negative in things. My anxiety was through the roof and I had no reason to be like that. All I can say is I am really happy I am so much better now – this song came from a me that no longer exists (thank god for that). This song takes me back to that time and is like a therapy note to me now – that no matter how bad things may seem – I know I will be okay.

I was feeling so good it was like I was in some sort of euphoric simulation and I was never going to come down. Whenever I listen to this song, it takes me back to that place, like it's night time and I'm looking up at the clear night sky.
