In the murky refuge of the catacombs, a fiery ritual has been brewing.🔥

Possessed with the dark aspects of liturgic classical music, Lamentari signifies the congregation of blackened death with the monumental roar of the symphony orchestra, wielding influences from J. S. Bach to Igor Stravinsky. 

With their ritualistic grand mass “Missa Pro Defunctis”, the forces of the Roman requiem mass are summoned and enacted in a new dark rite, revived with a live ensemble of strings and trumpets.

Max Uldahl is a musician and composer from Denmark. Although he is active in a lot of different genres, he is mostly interested in modern film score.
Inspirational sources include artists such as Jane Antonia Cornish, Chopin, Tuomas Holopainen, Danny Elfman and norwegian black metal such as the likes of Dimmu Borgir.
