Refraction of Light encompasses a swarm of sonic apparitions from 17 geographically linked artists. The compilation glides through an array of mesmerizing sounds; from slithering trance and crystalline techno to surrealistic DnB and entrancing electronica. A vast collection of moods spanning dawn to dusk.

The HgB capsule emerges on Amniote Editions on 23rd June. The artwork is designed by Camilla Louisa.

Amniote Editions acknowledges this EP was put together on the land of the Woiwurrung & Wurundjeri peoples of the Kulin Nation. We acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land and pay our respects to their elders past, and present. Sovereignty was never ceded.

Creeping through deep d’n’b, blisteringly fast idm, and percussive club cuts across to bass laden experimental music, blissful tech and peak energy techno, we hope this release provides an access point for all electronic music lovers to explore the depths of the so called ‘Australian’ subterranean music landscape.

APS was captured by both the carnal and intellectually abstract nature of techno. In his sets and mixes he looks for encounters of these seeming opposites and brings them to the foreground. As a producer he’s released on his own label Cathexis Records and has thrown the occasional party known Yearn in Philly, Brooklyn, and select house parties in the UK.
