Hicky & Kalo - Borealis 2022

“On sacred Colombian territory we entered a challenging and rewarding adventure that will help us deconstruct limiting beliefs to access and ignite our authentic self.” (Re-treated)

It was night time and the full-ish moon was smiling down as the river flowed and all the creatures made their distinct sounds. A fire warmed our bodies as music feed our souls. 

Inspired by the human experience that unfolded in a beautiful container surrounded by Mother Nature. This set was a celebration of the journey’s ending … or was it the just beginning ;) I was in a complete flow state, I knew two tracks I wanted to start with and two towards the end. Tunes were pulled from many different pockets of my collection.

On the property was an amazing labyrinth. Our journey and realizations through it weaved their way into this set. I later googled life and labyrinth and found this:  

“Our life path can be viewed as a labyrinth guiding us to deeper meaning and fulfillment. Walking a labyrinth takes us through numerous twists and turns that symbolize the ebb and flow of life. Like the design of a labyrinth, what looks like an end point in life can also be a beginning point.” (link below)

I’m now obsessed with labyrinths!!! Thus the title of this release.

Life as a Labyrinth - Santa Marta - Colombia - Feb 9 2023

I'm pleased to share this live recording from this year's Lightning in a Bottle via "The Junkyard Stage."  It's been my experience that sometimes, the really good ones don't get recorded.  I'm glad this one did, so that those whom were present can relive it and those whom were not, can listen for the time.  NJOY! <3

Robot Heart has been inspiring me for years. 

It's a place where one can speak truly as an artist, providing a platform to create transformative moments in time. 

The month before Burning Man I was incredibly inspired to create special new tracks and edits for that Robot Heart morning. 

Half of them didn’t even make it into the set as I prefer to follow my feelings and instincts at the moment.

Robot Heart to me, is the passion to create and experiment. It embodies the value of being present.

Hope you guys like it and get inspired in your own way.

A short note from the artists: 
This idea of our back to back was years in the making, the playa provided in a fashion neither of us could have imagined: the most welcoming & solid camp with it’s own super club in its courtyard, an outstanding custom built german sound system and a dance floor full of beautiful humans thriving with an open heart and a thirst for fun, love and anything we threw their way. Just another sunset in the desert... Or could it have been a special occasion? There was the aerialist hanging from a crane, there were ecstatic screams from every direction, there was family all around me, there was abundant tequila and infinite smiles, and there might even have been some Barry White.
