BM 2023

Which date could be better to release a fundraiser set I’ve played for my Mexican Mayan Warrior fam than the week where we would normally stroll over the playa in Nevada. I can tell I miss it a lot and can’t wait to return next year properly. 
This set got recorded a month ago in NYC with the full art car at the Brooklyn Mirage. It was a hot and rainy summer night, with a pretty magical vibe and so spectacular with all the lasers & fire. We had a little blackout at the end caused by the heavy rain which soaked all of us and of course the equipment too but this made it even more special.

Friday Morning deep playa, as heavy clouds started to cover the sky, a beautiful collection of wild burners was dancing around the Maxa and Discow art cars for this epic link-up night. This set was definitely one of the most thrilling and memorable adventure of my burn and possibly of my life too. The energy was so high. The people were so free. One of these moments where you feel the absolute beauty and perfection of the universe, everyone dancing as one. As I played my two last tracks a sandstorm mixed with rain made us all disappear into nothingness, I could barely see the decks anymore, it felt completely apocalyptic. We exploded into cosmic ecstasy of being alive, savouring what it means to be human on this planet. What an incredibly beautiful and transcending moment, thank you guys for dancing, for being a part of it, and for listening to it here!
A short while after that the heavy rains started, this was our last dance before the playa would be completely under water and held still for the week end. We sure enjoyed it fully till the last second! Grateful!!! Thank you Maxa, Thank you to every single one of you!!! Until we dance again together soon, Much much love your way! :) <3

I was thinking about all the long waits in line for Burning Man tickets over the years and decided to give some of you something to listen to while the walking person icon slowly makes its way across the screen holding all our hopes in its little tiny pixel hands. 

The wait time  is usually about as long as it took to get from one side of the playa to the other last year after it rained and the playa shrimp rose up to attempt to take over the world!! 

Burning Mud. Mudding man. Raining man. Remember the wild stories (all from the outside media or Diplo and Chris Rock) vs the kindness and generosity of strangers out on the playa. I hope, even if faced with adversity last year, maybe, just maybe, you also saw how wonderful people can be when called upon in a ‘crisis’. 

I was lucky enough to stay until Tuesday night and grateful to still get to play a sunrise on the Robot Heart albeit a few days later than planned. There was so much love in the air that (finally) beautiful morning. If you missed it or want to listen once more or are just bored and looking for something to distract you while waiting in line for this years tickets (I’ll be waiting too) then here’s burning man/mud/magic 2023.  Feel the love in the air and the tickle of playa shrimp on the soles of your feet.

“Greetings friends. Im very happy to recieve the amazing Robot Heart family’s choice to release my set from the burn last year. After a wild and wonderful week for dust & mud, This impromptu evening on the bus was stitched together quite suddenly by our dear Robots, who assembled all the loons left behind from the fleeing masses on Monday night. This may have been one of the best nights in terms of vibe i’ve felt on the playa in a long time. For the true warriors stayed for the next few days to extend our journey without a single complaint of rain or mud to be whispered at any point throughout the evening. To those who were in attendance… i salute you. To the responsible ones who were on the move… dont worry, we saved you your seats. To the global family who skipped this year with an unexpected smile… guess again 😉. And to my favorite wizards, witches, and warriors of the Robot Heart… you make the magic true and dependable year after year, rain or shine, virgins or veterans, hardships and happiness. I lovr you & I thank you. And for all you musical maniacs, i hope you enjoy this brief glimpse into the freedom in sound selection we were given on this fun and unexpected eve.
