We never got a chance to discuss the idea in detail, as there’s no reception at Burning Man. However, the set turned out to be incredibly fun and inspiring for everyone involved, as the videos show. Playing at the legendary art car of Maxa camp at Burning Man was an experience that transcended time and space. Reflecting on my journey from a raver in 2017 to a performer of the art cart in 2024 felt surreal and multi-dimensional. It was as if I had stepped into a living artwork, where every moment resonated with the echoes of my past while forging new connections in the present. This evolution not only marked a personal transformation as an artist but also embodied the essence of the Burning Man experience—creative expression, community, and the magic of the moment.

Opposite the usual chaos of the Burn, something extraordinary happened that morning.  Everything felt intentional, the perfect weather, the surreal lighting, and a crowd whose energy was beautifully aligned in the same direction. The Maxa Deer, a breathtaking living creature glowing with powerful presence, seemed to channel something beyond this world, and our crew was ready. We gathered every drop of that sunrise magic and poured it into the music, letting the vibrations carry us all deeper. The moment called for a high-energy, powerful set, and that’s exactly what it became.

Infinite gratitude to the Maxa and Pizzine family. This set was a reminder that sometimes, the universe truly does conspire in your favor. <3

If you are about to dive into this set, we invite you to read these words, as they will give deeper meaning to your experience with this musical landscape.

An Orchestra for the Spirit was played live in Black Rock City, riding the Maxa Deer. It was an offering of frequencies and words to bring unity to the Burning Man community that was about to witness the temple rise in flames.

As we believe in synchronicities over coincidences, we are sensitive and deeply touched by the powerful fires that burned for weeks in our beloved California. We contemplated what our best offering could be to support, and realized it is the perfect timing to share hours of music and inspiring poetry, to navigate the mysterious waves of trascendence and trust. 

From our hearts, this set is for everyone feeling the painful part of a shedding skin, a letter lost, a broken heart, or a physical or metaphorical home brought to ashes that now requires full trust to rise again and build a new landscape.

Here’s to new landscapes. 

We allow this orchestra for the spirit to tell the rest.

Revealing: “El Ojo del Venado”: The official soundtrack of our Maxa Deer, a true sonic masterpiece.

Carrying the essence of Maxa’s roots, it’s more than a soundtrack; It’s a collection of frequencies that takes us through the layers of the Deer’s presence in the wild, and the emotions it evokes in us as we experience it.

“The track is structured around the flow of a full day at Burning Man, from sunrise to sunrise. It begins with an ethereal dawn soundscape, grows in rhythm and energy through the day, shifts gears at dusk, and reaches its peak at night before the sunrise returns, renewed and transformed. Just like the Playa, the track is full of twists, turns, and the uncertainty of where it may lead.

Beyond music, see it as a journey, a soundtrack for those who explore distant lands and inner worlds. Made for seekers who embrace discovery and transformation.

What an honor to play for the legendary MAXA at my 11th burn… and it nearly didn’t happen. When I arrived, I could see rainclouds in the distance. Thankfully, the winds changed, and after a mad dash of teamwork to get the car set up, we kicked off 2025’s burn in style… and in true playa fashion, we were rewarded with the serendipitous arrival of El Pulpo Mechanico almost immediately after I played my first song. Fantastic.

"Like, how is this even possible? - These are the words of my fiancée opening my set at this year's Maxa x Mayan Warrior linkup. I did ask myself the same thing standing on the deer, gazing into the sea of people and art cars in front of us, lost for words at the beauty of this moment. 

It was the first big night after the dust had settled and the rain had dried, and let me tell you - this set was beyond my wildest dreams. So much fun, incredibly special for so many reasons, and pretty surreal, especially considering that I had just arrived on the playa a few hours before after two exhausting days of travel. 
I walked the last miles through the desert to make it in time…

Almost nine years ago, I played my first set for the Maxa family - back then, just a small camp on the beach in Tulum. I traded a DJ set for a few nights in one of their tents right by the ocean… good old days. 

Fast forward to Burning Man 2025 - Maxa has kept every bit of that magic. Playing my set on Wednesday night, right after the rain, felt like the true start of the burn. Grateful to have been surrounded by some of my favorite humans and the incredible Maxa crew, who welcomed us with open arms and made it all feel like home again. This set was definitely one of my absolute highlights of this burn, and I am so happy to share it with you.

Nacho Isa - Maxa - Burning Man 2025

Playing on the Maxa art car was truly special to me. Not for some life-changing moment. No rebirth, no spiritual awakening at sunrise or mythical transformation in the dust.

It was about a brilliant crew from Mexico who built a giant deer that rolls through the desert, vibrating violently with every kick drum, wrapped in absurdly well-controlled LEDs, firing flames, and carrying a huge, great sound system that unites people and makes them dance. A surreal piece of art crossing the playa that simply fascinates me.

Standing there, surrounded by friends, looking out at a massive crowd genuinely dancing to my music, made me very happy. Sandwiched between Gavlak and Jonathan Kaspar, two artists I deeply respect, it simply made sense.
Thank you for this night.

Hard to describe this evening. A life highlight for me. Playing my favorite Art Car during Man Burn, surrounded by so many of my favorite people. Including my full Ikigai camp family, and my younger sister, who was living her first Burn. 
A night I will remember forever. 

A bit on the music selection: this burn felt unique. Lots of ups & downs for so many, emotions running raw across the playa. So I decided on a set that was more emotional and intentional. Less of a party set, more of a release. 

Closing out with a big thank you to the entire Maxa crew who work tirelessly to get this car going for all of us to enjoy. And a big thank you for trusting me with this moment.

Wednesday night brought one of those moments when the rain stopped, the stars came out, and the playa looked hungry for some beats. 

Under the new Big Disco Ball, we began to play, and we remember looking up and seeing the massive ball shining on all you dancing, shouting, and smiling!

Our B2B doesn’t happen often, but at the burn, it has become a small celebratory tradition. So this time, celebrating together under the Maxa Deer was a truly special moment. We haven’t really come down from :)
