Oh wow, what an incredible journey this Burning Man 2023 with Maxa. I poured my heart into a set that echoed the beats of equality, celebrating diversity and togetherness at the Playa. 
In the midst of expansive sands, our deer stood tall, embodying the collective spirit and the essence of equality. 
In this set I curated a sound experience that transcends genres, a message of inclusivity through the power of music. It was an honor to share this moment with a community that embraced the Maxa vibes and the shared vision of equality. 
To everyone present, your energy just elevated the experience and showed the true shared values, leaving an extraordinary moment for the playa, the community and myself. Thanks for the memory and see you soon

Shimza - Maxa - Burning Man 2023

Friday Morning deep playa, as heavy clouds started to cover the sky, a beautiful collection of wild burners was dancing around the Maxa and Discow art cars for this epic link-up night. This set was definitely one of the most thrilling and memorable adventure of my burn and possibly of my life too. The energy was so high. The people were so free. One of these moments where you feel the absolute beauty and perfection of the universe, everyone dancing as one. As I played my two last tracks a sandstorm mixed with rain made us all disappear into nothingness, I could barely see the decks anymore, it felt completely apocalyptic. We exploded into cosmic ecstasy of being alive, savouring what it means to be human on this planet. What an incredibly beautiful and transcending moment, thank you guys for dancing, for being a part of it, and for listening to it here!
A short while after that the heavy rains started, this was our last dance before the playa would be completely under water and held still for the week end. We sure enjoyed it fully till the last second! Grateful!!! Thank you Maxa, Thank you to every single one of you!!! Until we dance again together soon, Much much love your way! :) <3

Patrice Bäumel - DISTRIKT x Robot Heart - Burning Man 2023

I was thinking about all the long waits in line for Burning Man tickets over the years and decided to give some of you something to listen to while the walking person icon slowly makes its way across the screen holding all our hopes in its little tiny pixel hands. 

The wait time  is usually about as long as it took to get from one side of the playa to the other last year after it rained and the playa shrimp rose up to attempt to take over the world!! 

Burning Mud. Mudding man. Raining man. Remember the wild stories (all from the outside media or Diplo and Chris Rock) vs the kindness and generosity of strangers out on the playa. I hope, even if faced with adversity last year, maybe, just maybe, you also saw how wonderful people can be when called upon in a ‘crisis’. 

I was lucky enough to stay until Tuesday night and grateful to still get to play a sunrise on the Robot Heart albeit a few days later than planned. There was so much love in the air that (finally) beautiful morning. If you missed it or want to listen once more or are just bored and looking for something to distract you while waiting in line for this years tickets (I’ll be waiting too) then here’s burning man/mud/magic 2023.  Feel the love in the air and the tickle of playa shrimp on the soles of your feet.
