Here is a link to me new song 'Peppermint Tea'. I started writing this over a year ago and originally worried that the main line "things aren't quite as bad as they seem" could be misinterpreted as me dismissing people's problems. But this song is really just a gentle reminder not to get stuck in your own head; something I am guilty of doing. It's incredible how much even just vocalising something can make you see that you were wrong about a situation, or how a friend can just say something sooo simple that can completely change your perspective. These moments are so important, they are what help us get through things and more often that not, after a big chat we come away feeling like wowsers, things might not be so bad. Although other animals can communicate, humans are unique in their ability to be able to communicate with one another so directly; to be able to tell each other exactly what is going on and exactly how we feel. This is a GIFT we should never be scared to use; ***talk & listen*** we have so much to learn from each other. When I think of the people I know and what they have been/are going through, it's overwhelming. We all deal with such a variety of difficult situations that life throws our way, but it's heartwarming to see friends support each other with love, kindness and advice (I've experienced that a lot this year and I am very very grateful) and it's so inspiring to see people overcome difficult situations; keep going, you're doing just fine :)
