Live Set

This is the full recording of my last performance on the UNDERGROUND stage in DETROIT for the Movement Electronic music festival 2013. ive been attending the festival for over 12  years now and this year was by far one of the most memorable nights ive ever played in detroit. The bass on that stage is still till today the most intense things ive experienced in my whole DJ career. In order to continue playing we had to duct tape every piece of gear to the table and the faders on the mixer would not sit in one place ... although these technical issues presented problems in this recording. i decided to publish it as it is in order to preserve the memory of this day. This our second extended set recording Live from Berghain and it was an amazing night that we will both NEVER forget. thanks to everyone for all the support and for those who were there on this amazing night.

It is Monday the 5th of December and we have one of Mexico´s most popular djs, producers and live acts for the first time on the CLR Podcast. The present set is part of a live set recorded on October 15th at Bar Americas, one of his resident venues in Guadalajara. The complete 1,5 hours live set with hardly any talking is also available as a special download on clr.net.

Over a time-span of almost two decades, Luis has worked his way up to the forefront of the Mexican techno movement and has been playing and releasing his music successfully on an international level, for example his EPs on Droid Recordings and Micro.Fon. He has been a driving force in the development of Guadalajara´s happening electronic music scene and we hope you enjoy this set by one of Mexico´s most dedicated techno ambassadors.

It is Monday the 28th of January 2013 and we welcome back a returning guest on this week´s CLR Podcast. Luis Flores is one of Mexico´s most popular Techno producers and live acts, who is widely known for his diversified and groovy style.

A minimal use of elements results in a rich spectrum of textures and a dark and trippy dance floor pull. Live shows, improvisational in nature, can last anywhere from one to three hours, resulting in a hypnotic exploration of the possibilities of electronic production.

He has been a Techno activist at the forefront of the Mexican scene for the past 15 years and has worked as the artistic director of the highly influential label Nopal Beat Records, providing a stage for local producers.

Luis Flores has had several original tracks in the playlists of many of the biggest players in the scene and has played his much-loved live sets at countless renowned clubs and festivals worldwide.
