Around Us Invites Proudly Presents AkpaLa by Pedro Mercado

Pedro Mercado is one of the most known Belgian DJ/Producers in the Progressive House and Melodic Techno scene, reaching regularly the Beatport Top 100 on many highly regarded international labels (Parquet, Krafted Underground, Tanzgemeinschaft, Particles, Proton, Bonzai, Frequenza, Natura Viva, Dear Deer, Beatfreak, Manual, Awen, Project 13,...) which gets him gigs all over the world. He is also label manager of Chrom Recordings. 

During the pandemic and lockdowns he got more and more into Organic House and together with the multi-talented female artist Na Te, he founded “AkpaLa”, to make a clear distinction from his usual and known peaktime Progressive & Melodic style. In the studio Pedro Mercado & Na Te produce together the “AkpaLa” sound, and as DJ they play both B2B or as Pedro Mercado alone. So Pedro Mercado performing as AkpaLa will be deeper, slower and more ethnic, inspired by the sound of  events such as Burning Man & Gardens of Babylon.

In the past Pedro Mercado & Na Te released already several tracks & remixes together and 5 years ago they started a weekly radio show on Ibiza Global Radio. Nowadays they host monthly radioshows on Frisky Radio (Nomadland) & Proton Radio (Up-To-Deep). They are both also resident-DJs of the Planet Ibiza brand and performed already B2B in Belgium, Ibiza & Berlin. Starting from 2022 they will use the monniker “AkpaLa” for their collab tracks and their solo and/or B2B-sets in Organic House.

Vivid Valley

Florent Denecker aka FDVM started his career in 2013 by sharing his first edits and originals on the Soundcloud platform. With a resolutely modern and avant-garde vision of deep house, he quickly acquired a solid reputation and offered himself his first collaborations, notably with the duo Ofenbach.

As the months went by, the craze around the project kept growing and the artist surrounded himself with a booker who allowed him to play his first dates in the biggest Parisian clubs. The artist makes his DJ sets a truly magical moment.

In 2017, his career took a new turn with the release of his single "Make It Right". A track that immediately seduced radio stations, including Virgin Radio, which took him on its ElectroShock tour. FDVM went on to perform at major international venues such as Tomorrowland and Coachella.

While his meteoric rise attracted the interest of major record companies such as Sony Music, FDVM approached the 2.0 labels Soave Records and Adue music in 2019. He signed prestigious collaborations with Henri PFR, or more recently with the artist with the famous hoarse voice Broken Back. With no less than 150 million streams, including 20 million in 2021, FDVM inevitably retains his place as one of the leading artists on the electronic scene.

Greetings folks, Here is another chance to checkout last night’s show H Mark Mac and the Mark Mac - The Sounds Collective show on 107.3 Stafford FM we featured one of the finest and deepest Labels in the world of Deep Organic House. Bekool Records an amazing label with a consistent sound and quality, I played an amazing line up of tracks coming from some truly amazing artists who have appeared on the label such as. Federico Massara, Lucas ZÃ¡rate, Nicolas Soria, Alley SA, Leap Seconds, Jelly For The Babies, Dodeca, St. Ego, Shakib Jakir, Marcus Kardos, BiG Al. All in the first hour and then, in the second hour we welcomed an awesome Dj and producer to the decks the excellent SOL7 His boundless enthusiasm for music dates back to his childhood. Influenced by Queen, Genesis, Pink Floyd and David Bowie tapes,and his aunt's vinyl records from the 70s and 80s. Years after, he made mixes mainly in Soul, Funky and R&B style slowly paving the path to the world of clubs, parties, and festivals. Later he gets to know house and trance and completely absorbs their special atmosphere. He started organising his own parties and play music in clubs and radio stations all over Hungary. Another milestone in 2002 was the performance of Sasha in Budapest. That's when he met Deep, Organic, and progressive house, which largely defined his current style. His productions and DJ sets are primarily characterised by a positive, emotional melodic atmosphere and cheerful grooves.
