Multiple personality disorder can hardly be managed by a couple therapist.
One psychologist told me one day: don't worry, nobody has a real organized identity, nobody can really write their own biography. If every human being has many personalities, there are few who notice and even less those who manage to make them talk to each other. This is why we psychologists exist.

Not a multi-faceted but a broken personality. Like any object of these times. This was started by postmodernism with quotes. Then continued by operating systems by sending us continuous messages and asking us questions while we were just trying to write a shopping list.
It is so, you sit down to do something, and you find yourself making something else that you didn't want to do, you go into a supermarket to buy an item and buy something else.
You phone to someone and there is an answering machine.
We do nothing of what we believe we want to do, we are determined by something else, usually by a program. We must not wait for the future to see a world dominated by machines, we are already moved by someone else's will. It is usually simply an automatic mechanism that governs us.
