As the dust finally begins to settle after the release of Pan-Pot's massive album 'The Other', it's time to unleash a collection of heavy hitting reworks from the best and brightest stars of todays techno elite. Through careful consideration and an acute attention to detail, we couldn't be more elated to confirm ten artists we know and love to contribute their unique vision to Second State's first ever remix package.

Kicking things off with a heavily twisted alteration of 'Attention' is Nicole Moudaber and it's a tangled, dark trek through dense acoustic layers of audible madness. Next up is the Hamburg duo

Extrawelt with their twist on 'Optimistic Grey' and they deliver a beautiful blend of emotion and groove they are synonymous for.

Following suit is another passionately romantic number from man of the hour, Stephan Bodzin, and his take feels like floating through a sea of clouds, resulting in a timeless classic to be a focal point in any set for years to come.

Next in line is Ray Kajioka's take on '808 Nirvana' and it's a cosmic ride, ripe with swirling atmospherics laid over big churning drums and rolling cymbals.

Following up on the second 12“ of this LP is a man who needs no introduction: Carl Cox. And in true Coxy fashion he turns 'Riot' into just that: a big room, tension building monster!

Broken Engine' is the next track to get worked over and Wigbert delivers a stunning mix of shimmering tones and growling bass resulting in a lush venture through a cosmic backdrop of flickering stars in deep space.

Joseph Capriati ensues with his vision of 'Fugitives' and he brilliantly keeps the vibe of the original yet adds his trademark big room flair to take it to another level of driving euphoria.

Enlisting the talents of Alan Fitzpatrick to remix one of the slower listening tracks on the album turned out to be magic. With his signature percussion, Fitzpatrick takes the parts and creates a dive deep into sultry smooth waters of seduction.

The first of our last two remixes, which are digital exclusives, come from Paul Ritch and he delivers a grinding rendition of 'Riot', expertly crafted for the more euphoric peak time occasions.

Last and certainly not least is a man on the rise, Kevin Knapp with his twist on his own collaboration with Pan-Pot: 'Get In'. An expertly crafted tech house jam exploding with energy and attitude perfect for any moment, day or night, indoors or out.

No matter the time or place, there is something here for everyone and we are truly fulfilled and honored to present this package of cutting edge artists to celebrate this landmark moment. We know you will enjoy!

While well-established polish DJ/producer duo Catz N' Dogz is mostly known for bouncy, tongue-in-cheek house tunes, it was the precursor project 3 CHANNELS that originally put them on the map. Starting back in 2005, they enamored scene pundits with releases on labels such as Trapez, Crosstown Rebels or Dirtybird, presenting a particularly catchy definition of techno that would soon cross over into the uplifting, pop-infused style of their current work. With SPEICHER 88, Grzegorz Demiañczuk and Wojciech Tarañczuk return to their techno roots and drop two hypnotic bangers whith minimalist arrangements that can't deny their monstrous impact on the floor. Both ALPHABETTI SPAGHETTI and RUCOLA APOCALYPSE are expertly layered exercises in sheer club momentum - quintessential firestarters and a hugely satisfying scratch for that dancing itch.

"Young artist Charlotte de Witte continues to bolster a credible catalogue of tough, no-nonsense Techno with the introduction of her second solo EP for Tiga’s extolled Turbo Recordings. 

With a recent nod from Alan Fitzpatrick who included her Weltschmerz (Melodic Theme) in his recent Fabric mix she is an artist with a penchant for dark and moody atmospherics. Now - after her inclusion in the recent 12-track VA on Suara - the previously gold-selling Ghentian producer follows up her collaboration with Oscar & The Wolf and her first solo EP on London’s Bad Life with Sehnsucht: a bold four-track record packed with burly kick drums, steely synth tones and hypnotic vocal sampling primed for discerning big-room crowds. Also included in the package is a ruthless remix from Suara boss Coyu.

The title track is an apocalyptic march propelled by a purposeful kick and an unapologetic clap that keeps the pressure up throughout before ‘My Feeling’ lays a circling, hypnotic vocal over scuttling claps and luminous, flashing hi hats. 

Coyu then steps in with his take on ‘My Feeling’, pushing it into overdrive and marrying brash, white-noise snare drums with shuddering hats and vocal snippets. 

‘Enough’ then sets sharp drums knocking against cold and capacious textures before a disquieting and arresting vocal suffuses the track to stunning effect. ‘Den Ganzen Abend’ then brings the record to a sinister close as a pellucid German vocal sample is set creeping over an ineffably weighty low-end sitting it comfortably on the floor of Berghain and capping off another coup for a consistently reliable label and an artist firmly on her ascent."

"Sehnsucht describes a deep emotional state and is translated as 'longing', 'pining', 'yearning', or 'craving' or in a wider sense a type of 'intensely missing'. It represents thoughts and feelings about all facets of life that are unfinished or imperfect, paired with a yearning for ideal alternative experiences."

Drumcode returns with its 6th installment of the internationally celebrated A-Sides series. Renowned for fostering a shared space between industry tastemakers and rising talent alike, the careful curation that goes into each volume is a fine example of why Beyer’s brand continues to go from strength to strength.

Techno titan Adam Beyer has grown Drumcode into a force to be reckoned with; the label has become synonymous with forward-thinking, functional techno and even after 20 years, Drumcode continues to find new boundaries to push, and ways to solidify its legacy as the world’s number one techno label. 

2017 is no exception, with Beyer’s imprint hosting it’s first stage at Tomorrowland, not to mention the expansion of the critically acclaimed Junction 2 where the Drumcode stage is the centrepiece and Adam plays the key role of festival director. The Drumcode phenomenon continues to grow each week, chiefly fuelled by Drumcode Radio, Adam’s radio show that’s broadcast in 57 countries via 86 stations and to a global audience of 16 million techno fans per week. 

The A-Sides series acts as a perfect vignette of Drumcode’s cutting-edge sound; functional yet inspired techno, all tracks tried and tested by Beyer himself. Vol. 6 continues this tradition with a collection of 16 multi-faceted cuts from a mixture of both emerging artists and experienced label friends. 

The heart-throbbing bass in Amelie Lens’ electrifying piece ‘In Silence’ sets the tone for the dark and dance-floor-ready energy that Vol.6 carries the whole way through. Other standouts include Mars Bill’s rough’n’ready ‘Mohave’. Pulsating and precise, ‘Mohave’ has highlighted many of Beyer’s sets recently as has Wehbba’s monster track ‘Fake’, which fans have been anticipating the release of all year. 

Label-favourites Dense & Pika also feature on ‘A-Sides’ Vol. 6 with their hard-hitting ‘Just a Beat’ and a huge track from Beyer himself who has joined forces with Enrico Sangiuliano to bring us their undeniably infectious ‘Preset Heaven’. 

With many more notable selections from the likes of Julian Jewell, Timmo, Tiger Stripes and Pig&Dan, A-Sides Vol. 6 is another impressive addition to the label’s prolific release roster and a testament to why Drumcode remains at the forefront of the electronic world.

Turbo Recordings nukes first and asks questions later with the release of Proxy's latest single, "Who Are You?" Featuring remixes by Pilo and Attaque.

The onslaught of singles from Proxy's massive debut double album, MUSIC FROM THE EASTBLOCK JUNGLES, continues with "Who Are You?" The release features a shorter, even more brutal take on the titular Proxy classic, as well as "9000", which takes the Russian's affinity for futuristic Eastern nano-pop - previously explored in "8000" -  to its logical conclusion.

For the remixes, we coerced UK banger-man Attaque and West Coast up-and-comer Pilo into handling "Who Are You?" with no protection from radiation poisoning or international tribunals. Attaque, whose output has earned him support from Tiga, Erol Alkan, and Brodinski, re-imagines the track as festival techno for a festival in the airless void of space. Meanwhile, Pilo builds on his monstrous Twin Turbo debut with a version that summons dead machines to possess your dancing flesh until there is nothing left but bone and sweat.

The release gives Proxy pause as he "crosses continents to survey the ocean-choked dead" in the wake of his ongoing, ever-expanding world tour.

"The question 'Who Are You?' is entirely rhetorical," he says from inside his tank carrier. "The obvious truth is that it could not possibly matter. You are already dust, and I do not deign to name you."
