Every once in a while Dynamic Reflection likes to serve as a catalyst for young, upcoming production talent.

This thirteenth digital-only release, dubbed “Fertile Soil”, is a testament to that aim. 

Four fresh faces whose tracks we feel deserve to be heard. From Urbano’s stomper “Monomere” and Xhei’s equally rough “Where is the Groove”, to Zosima’s intricate “The White Canvas” and A. Picon relentless “Nightwalker”; there’s something for everyone’s taste.

Madelyn Byrd aka Slowfoam is a Berlin-based artist working at the intersections of hydrofeminism and neuroaesthetics, an exploration into uncanny interactions between ecology and technology. They are a vital presence within the landscape of modern queer experimentation, utilizing complex digital processing techniques to dream up spellbinding microscopic worlds made up of synthetic sounds and field recordings 🪼

In a tone of their releases, Slowfoam delivers an hour of poised, seductive story-telling embedded in electro-acoustic experimentation and glistening textural ambient, building up into low-slung rhythmical momentum before wrapping up with a heart-warming conclusion 🩵

“Alpha Centauri (α Centauri, α Cen; also known as Rigil Kentaurus, Rigil Kent, or Toliman) is the brightest star in the southern constellation of Centaurus. Although it appears to the unaided eye as a single object, Alpha Centauri is actually a binary star system (designated Alpha Centauri AB or α Cen AB) whose combined visual magnitude of –0.27 would qualify it as the third single brightest star in the night sky after the –1.46 magnitude Sirius and the –0.72 magnitude Canopus.”
