EL MAXICANO - The One And Lonely

The 3rd single release of Massimo Tutti, the retro exotica soundtrack 'Chaahk Strikes'. It’s a tribute to retro exotica legends like Les Baxter, Martin Denny, Stan Kenton and Henry Mancini mixed with his personal baritone guitar twang style combined with his cinematic approach. But a modern producer like Boris Blank of Yello is also an inspiration. The song title refers to the Mayan god of rain and thunder. The song and video visualizes the change of the weather into an ominous tropical storm referred to as Chaahk Strikes. The single also contains field-recordings of Maya-language and instruments from the Mexican culture and nature.

MASSIMO TUTTI - Chaahk Strikes

Maxim S. Calda is a versatile independent composer, songwriter, producer and musician who operates in the shadows of the music industry doing different projects and combining different styles. He is frontman and co-founder of alternative pop-band Tuxedo Bandido and was an industrial pioneer with his project G-GAP in the Lowlands. Over the years he has done different (solo)projects and remixes in different genres. Currently his solo activities are El Maxicano, Maximum Electric Field (M.E.F.) and Massimo Tutti.
Apart from all his musical activities he is a skilled desktop publisher and therefore also responsible for the artwork of his projects. Lately he is also involved in video editing and production.
Maxim has his own recording and production label: Small Room recordings and Avant Garden productions.
