After a busy week with lots of travel and some really good gigs, I needed some time to calm down and chill out. Back in Trondheim where it all started I got the time to recover while I made this chill tropical/deep house track. It has a lot of dynamic pump with some good melodic whistle. I enjoyed making some up-tempo beats again and I look forward getting back out there playing for you guys! Hope you enjoy this track as much as I enjoy playing for you guys! :)

Naomie K - Open Your Mind (Matoma Tropical Remix)

Sound design and techno experimentation are both familiar territories for Munich-born, Berlin-based audiovisualist, Monolake (Robert Henke). A name that 50WEAPONS are very excited to welcome to the family, forming part of their closing 12" series. This is the seventh opus out of ten in total, split between Henke and Anstam, with "VT-100" on the flip ranking highly in our books. Henke elects the unexpected, with a sampled live drum kit providing the reverb-rich percussion throughout the techno-inspired track. Six minutes of a well versed sound, turned on its head.

Saarbrücken based Stefan Maurer and Markus Schneider are The Robot Scientists. Their melodies traverse through unknown planets in various galaxies and usually conjoin to create psychedelic synthwave-disco goodness, what’s not to like?

As well as DJ’ing, Stefan and Markus make up two thirds of Emerald & Doreen Records, a label that promotes left-field disco, trippy balearica and an enormous amount of otherworldly cosmic sounds. Keep your eyes peeled for their forthcoming VA featuring the likes of JP Soul & Curses. Oh and if you didn’t already know, TRS curate the ever so amazing Something Spæcial podcast series. These guys do a colossal amount.

The Robot Scientists | 031

@Cosmic-Pint-Glass started in a cellor of a Norwich pub called the Bicycle Shop as an excuse to go down the pub and spin some records. We used to have live electronic acts set up on the pub tables and play records in the cupboard under the stairs.

To date most of the releases have been pub jams, however CPG010 moves into techno territory in style with 2 of artists we’re big fans of…. Frak and @JackPattern. The latter known for the @lustpoderosa label and their dj sets taking revellers on dark trippy journeys through time and space. A fusion of disco, acid, industrial, techno - meltdown.

Kernkraft translates as Nuclear Power and from the outset reverberating sequences visualise a bleak working environment. Mechanical sequences rotate. Clouds of sparking particles swirl overhead menacingly. A kick drum stumbles into actions, the machine has powered up. Cold hi-hats shimmer, and hollow synths give the feel of some sort of labouring workforce.

A small wooden house sat perched on the top of the hill, its straw covered roof dripping with morning dew. It was the only shelter the travellers had come across for miles, so they were left with no other option but to investigate what lay inside. The smell of pine filled their nostrils as they clambered up the slope, making fresh prints in the crisp white snow underfoot. As they neared the entrance, another scent greeted them. They couldn't quite place it but it instilled a sense of unease in them. Raising a clenched fist, they took a deep breath and knocked loudly on the door. 

Marseille-based club, bar and label La Dame Noir's next release comes courtesy of one of Tel Aviv's most promising producers, Eliezer. His Jericho EP journeys through chugging cold wave grooves opening with a moody collaboration with New York producer Curses, plus three reworks of the originals from Middle Sky Boom, Niv Ast and Uriah.

After two high-profile releases from Hidden Element and Koloah, Kiev label Thousand Kisses Place presents the music of a promising newcomer to the local scene - Vroda. 

'Senses' is the name of Vroda's debut musical message, in which the original tracks are enriched by unexpected interpretations from r.roo and the braindance of the geek Corporeal Face, and the artwork was made by the famous Ukrainian artist and excel art master - Alexei Sai.
