Mark du Mosch is a Rotterdam based producer and DJ who has earned the highest amount of respect in the Dutch alternative music scene in the past couple of years. The reason is simple: he dares to go beyond the obvious, his raw yet emotional signature sound being distinctive, versatile and stunningly creative. Expect perfectly executed analogue bliss from a craftsman who is slowly yet steadily making his way into the records bags of global house and techno connoisseurs.

The title track is a quirky display of what the multi-talented du Mosch has to offer. Complex but catchy melody lines meet a highly effective get-in-high gear bassline, bridging the gap between analogue roughness and subtle chords. If this bass-inflicted break down doesn’t tear up some early morning dance floors, nothing else will.

Hiccupping kicks, steady groovin’ hi-hats and analogue synth patterns that keep building momentum are the impelling ingredients for 'Living Up'. Cosmic warmth topped by lush, ancient sounding yet timeless drums. Emotive stuff that grabs your attention instantly.

From Russia with love; Moscow based cult producer Gesloten Cirkel kicks it up a notch with his rough-and-ready take on 'Living Up'. Wailing synths, piston hi-hats and an everything but straight-to-the-point bassline make for an epic esoteric house jam.

Minimal bombs from LA-based, Dubfire-championed SHADED

Shaded is the new solo project of Skyler Taugher, one of the members of SHDWPLAY, whose releases to date have all been via Dubfire's SCI+TEC label, which speaks to his talent for stripped-down, big room techno. This four track EP bridges the gap between pumping, classic M_nus-style minimal techno and whatever it's more fun and modern counterpart is. 

Opener Sheshe has been a staple in label-boss Tiga's sets of late, a slick, energetic and eminently playable club record. Things get darker for Side Sippin and Jane Smith Goes To DC10 before closer Single Freax funs things up again in the closer slot with what sounds like a police siren on drugs under a vocal going “freak-freak-freak,” classic elements for effective party tools…

"I want them to hate me for putting this out" says Jackmaster Hater, referring to tracks once possessed by a mere handful of Chicago House DJs. These recordings, traded secretly on tape, were exclusive to the likes of Ron Hardy and Frankie Knuckles.

Here is the new compilation by Jerome Derradji with Kevin Starke, aka the infamous Jackmaster Hater and owner of Kstarke Records in Chicago. 
It is one of the sickest slice of Chicago House Music ever released.

This compilation features ultra rare and lost Chicago classics paired with a nice selection of newer tracks produced by Jackmaster Hater and his friends, all nicely laid out on a DCD and 2 DLPs. The DLPs come with a killer poster and the DCD features a booklet about Kstarke records and Kevin Starke and a few more surprises.

It includes rare tracks by Ron Hardy, James "Jack Rabbit" Martin, Terrence Woodard, Traxmen and many more. 

This is the real sound of Chicago.

Firstly, a huge thanks to everyone for supporting us so far - 2016 has seen the DEXT label continuing to go from strength to strength, with our Callahan and Mella Dee EP's backed with remixes from Hodge and Endian which have been been super well received. Now for the third EP of the year from our resident comedian Bodyjack.

Bodyjack has been an integral part of DEXT since he remixed Dubspeeka on our 2nd release and headlined our label takeover of Privilege in Ibiza last Summer. We are very excited about his return to the label with this 3-tracker (and our first full solo artist EP!), and we think you're going to dig this...

RENDERED - BENDOVER

RENDERED is the relatively new collaboration between Daniel Myer (Haujobb, Architect) & Clément Perez (14Anger), both veterans of their respective genres spanning early 90s EBM and darkwave to more recent destructive techno releases. This fresh offering via Fleisch combines both of their signature styles into a colossal and abrasive 31 minute rhythmic barrage. 

“BENDOVER” begins with subtle and eerie pads that are quickly overpowered by a punishing percussive sequence, only to periodically return to soft intricate synth work before swinging back to full power. The Codex Empire remix of the same track features his distinctive unhinged 4/4 assaults minus any overt melodic inclinations that might get in the way of his ‘hammer to the head’ effort. Doubtful any other producer would have been better suited to remix duties here than Mr. Empire. 

On the B side “GOTHICSHOCK”’s wobbly acidic synths melt well against a wall of distorted kicks and sweeping synths. “GIRLSCOUTINGCOMA” starts with an electro-esque kick pattern before entering a 4/4 sequence head on and later imploding into squelchy and blistering finale. “STONECOLDSOUL” is the closest thing here resembling an EBM track, starting off with a classic one note arpeggiated synth sequence & aggressive tom fills before washing out into a textural and noisy inferno.
