Well it's that time again when Wongo pretends not to write his own release bio and tell the world how bad he is while secretly being really excited about the songs he's about to put out. It's just the Australian way - we have a funny way of showing love over here... 

So let's jump straight into the tunes, and we better get into it quickly. Tempo is the name of the game here, and he’s really upped it with these heaters. The lead track Flex is a spicy techno/fidget hybrid boasting high energy, wonky synths and a flat 4 to the floor kick drum. Next up is Lady Datejust, one that holds a very special place in Wongo's heart as he samples one of his all-time favourite records from Julien Delfaud. The story behind the record is pretty dark, and he keeps that theme running throughout the record. Last but not least we have Melted Disco, and it sounds pretty much exactly as the title describes. Imagine letting your favourite disco vinyl sit in the Sahara desert for approximately 4 to 5 business days, brushing the sand off and slapping a drum loop on top. That’s pretty much it. 

Wongo is a sucker for pushing the boundaries of what music production means to him, and this EP shows exactly that. Push the tempo… Push the tempo…

Los Angeles-based DJ and Producer, Rodney Dinkles, is coming out of the gate strong as a newcomer in the electronic music scene. Voodoo Chant is an outstanding tech house EP with the catchiest ear candy and wonky sounds. This EP is fresh, unique and everything that Artichokes Are Yellow is about. 'Do Something' is a bouncy tech track with bubble-like sounds and a minimalist vocal that brings the energy up and down throughout the track. 'Voodoo Chant' is a heavy-tech house track with growly synth bass and upbeat vocal chops to create bouncy high-energy drops.
