'Chemistry', a song whose spacey synth arpeggios wrap themselves around a bass line that pulses like the lifeline of a planet. It’s a third eye opener of a track, one that kicks down the barn doors of perception only to find a secret nightclub filled with neon smiles. Who knew the merging of synth-pop odes, chemical love and intoxicating attraction, pumped into the veins of country disco, could feel this good...

Clubland is filled with duos, and when it comes to Lord Fascinator & Kate Stein, they met on a tropical island after one had commissioned the other to create several giant monsters for a music video. Fast forward through ten years of costumes, chemicals, religious art projects and "Mad Max yoga retreats", they have finally cemented their relationship in the studio with their Primary EP, four tracks of psychedelic synth-pop, cowboy disco and cosmically inclined iridescent electronica.

Hailing from Sydney, Jerk Boy has amassed a credible catalogue of modern Disco music, the contents of which can be huddled together under the umbrella of 'music for good times'. He knows exactly how to move floors and his next single featuring Irfane is case on point.

Best known for his collaborative work with Ed Banger mainstay Breakbot who he toured with extensively - Irfane has also worked with Hudson Mowhake and remains a deeply versatile vocalist. Together the duo lay out 'Something Isn't Right'; a classy cut with an easy, free-flowing energy.

A trim and shifty bass line pops and flexes under a finger snapping snare and sixteenth-note shuffles. The groove is effortless as is gently segues through sections of chordal chimes, vocal refrains and flashes of melodic expression with just enough drive and force to keep the vibe buoyant throughout.

A radio edit and an instrumental offer options for DJs who will no doubt pull it for it's fun, addictive and softly rapturous spirit.'

FREEDL067 // MIGMO - Bright Disko (Original Mix)

A decade has passed since Infinity Night graced Bordello A Parigi with his wonderful Winter and Summer EPs. After too long a wait, the French producer returns with the aptly titled Le Temps Qui Passe. Six slices of select synthesizer music make up the 12”, tracks lovingly crafted with Frederic Bergamaschi’s trademark analogue warmth. A melancholic melody meanders through brightness in “Tu Ne Me Réponds Pas”, dulcet words hidden under the machine gauze of a vocoder. Skittish percussion gives way to the refrain of “It’s Full of Stars”. Hazy keys appear as an arpeggiator rumbles below a shimmering sky. “Les Souvenirs De Valerie” picks up where its predecessor left off. Astral notes are beamed into the heavens, echoing into the while crisp cymbals tether the piece. Infinity Night has always sought that point of balance in his music, a bittersweetness he accentuates and explores. This is true in the darker shades of “Nymphomania”. Beats are bolstered, key stabs piercing the tenderness of analogue trills. The title track is a rich patchwork. A burbling undercurrent supports forays into diverse tangents with lyrics surfacing through key shifts and sliding scales. Marching to militaristic rhythms, “I Comme Icare” is the curtain call. The stringent drums are broken by sailing synthlines, vocals masked in a familiar mesh to close. Le Temps Qui Passe, well worth the wait.

After more than a year since its last chapter, Bonkers makes a triumphant return with “Oddness Vol. V,” further cementing the Mexican imprint’s reputation as a curator of daring and unconventional electronic music. This latest edition continues the label's tradition of showcasing boundary-pushing talent from across the globe, featuring an exceptional lineup including the collaborative force of Ludviq & Radial Gaze, the innovative YemeroFoni, the atmospheric Specter, the meticulous Petr Stancl, and the unpredictable Chicharron. Together, these artists craft a mesmerizing audio expedition that traverses shadowy Techno territories, abstract rhythmic structures, and immersive sound design. The collection thrives on diversity, offering something for every fan of high-quality underground electronic music.

Premiered here, Petr Stancl's contribution, "Special Smoke", emerges as one of the compilation's most compelling moments. The Czech producer demonstrates his mastery of mood and texture, constructing a dense auditory landscape anchored by a pulsating low-end foundation. Muted vocal fragments intertwine with distorted harmonic elements, while subtle percussive details create a sense of restrained urgency. Petr's signature approach to arrangement reveals itself through gradual, almost imperceptible evolutions that reward patient listening. Quick, somebody sound the klaxon to alert followers of chuggy-italo-cosmic-mutant style disco, we’ve got an absolute slam dunk here by Nutritious! 
Nutritious first came on our wave length via a flow of pretty amazing release via our very good friends at Paper Recordings (which you should really check out!) so we’re thrilled to snag him and his unique stylings on the Chromatic Palms E.P.

Norway in Italy begins the party and is a slo-mo funk laced groover with a relentless Bernie Edwards style bass line & ‘Nile style’ guitar licks that hook you right in from the off and guarantee much shoulder twitching. Spaced out synth sounds blast in & out alongside warped vocal samples to create a masterclass in how to do ‘weird & wonderful’ with a 10/10 score.

Acid Reign takes the crown for our most wonky sounding release of the year! Right off the bat is an insane sounding synth/bass sound hybrid that sounds like its from another dimension. A few disco strings pop up for a chat with some synth stabs, vocodered/Speak & Spell style vocals and a couple of dramatic drops make this an absolute dance floor mega weapon. Already favoured & supported by Richard Sen on his Do!!You!!! World! Show. BIG!!!

He's been a family man from the start, though the definition of family might have grown and evolved. Bringing thick vibes, that's just who he is.
