Number 55 in the series is from Rashid Khan and as the opening track would suggest, he's a house junkie. 
Educated on the dancefloors of such Manchester institutions as Bugged Out! Electric Chair and Robodisco in the 90s, he was inspired to start Djing properly and putting on his own nights in 2003 when he founded Casamusica alongside Mark Parody and Niles (Emotional Pop).  
Casa was all about the house sounds of Chicago, New York and the West Coast of America but later in 2009 he found an outlet for his love of the techno sound of Detroit by joining with Lee Daley and Dan McGlynn (FraidSo), Eddie Leader (Hudd Traxx), Chris Poole and Josh Hewitt to form Content. Through putting on these two well supported nights, Rashid has played alongside house and techno royalty from the late, great Andrew Weatherall through to Chez Damier, DJ Rolando and Juan Atkins to name a few. 
Along the way he's played at legendary venues, nights and festivals such as Redlight at Sankey's, The End of Year Riot at Legends, Electric Elephant in Croatia and the Warehouse Project. 
This mix is 1hr 20 minutes of house and a smidgen of techno that spans 25 years, hopefully encapsulating his time spent on the dancefloors and in the DJ booths of Manchester.

This week we have the mighty Casino Times in the guest mix slot.

Nicholas Church and Joseph Spencer are Casino Times, a production duo that has taken on a variety of shapes since its inception in 2010, building an impressive catalogue of original electronic music productions for respected labels across the UK and Europe. They’re also the masterminds behind the white-label Casino Edits series which has seen them turn out five instant classic 12”s met with widespread popularity and critical praise.

After previously releasing two complimentary concept EPs on Omena (Decoded / Recoded), the duo returned to the label in 2022 to release their second full-length record, 'A Change In Motion'. This collection of tracks is the epitome of their unconstrained style of electronic music, blending an array of captivating ideas and atmospheres to form a true voyage through sound.

Casino Times' first release for 2023 is not your typical affair. It features four tracks that bound between pop, techno, and disco with confident strides, and is set to be released on May 5th on Catz & Dogz' Step Recordings.
