An ambient-electro vinyl mix, made in 2013, using exclusively records from Elektrolux and Mikrolux record labels.
This mix is a tribute to late nineties / early 2000s 'Space Night' on the German satellite TV channel 'BR', which used to broadcast through the night showing satellite space images of the Earth and beyond, accompanied by smooth ambient electro music.

I’m very proud/nervous/excited to share this mix with you all 😊 This set is playfully pieced together with tracks produced exclusively by myself, and/or my homies from the @hunterthompsonsaloon in Saarbrücken. Over the last year and a half, we’ve been steadily building our library of original material (individually, and as a group). After (finally) playing these traxx on bigger systems in the clubzzz, it’s clear that the quality of music in our circle has continued to develop 😊

ABOUT YOU AS AN ARTIST

"Vinculum is originally from Fargo, North Dakota, USA. He is currently based in Heidelberg, Germany.

Vinculum ventures in making music started in his early teen years where he played in various funk, jazz, and indie/blues rock bands. He traded in his drum sticks for records when he moved away for college, and became active in the DJ scene in Omaha. In the USA, vinculum has played in support of acts such as @woody_mcbride, @Chrissytrax, and @sentenza_. Although he lives and plays in Heidelberg, vinculum’s more permanent residency is in Saarbrücken with Hunter Thompson. While his rate of releasing music has slowed, his production rate has not. Adding to his occasional releases with his beloved Hunter Thompson, vinculum will be releasing a 12-track album later this year via @labernichtrecords entitled “Weil halt” (digital and vinyl)."

Noord Loop is an Amsterdam based duo composed of DJs and producers Super Ons and Tanzverbot. Their collaboration is the fruit of an incredible sonic chemistry, brotherhood bond and common search for hypnotic and euphoric electronic sounds that resonate in the afterhours.

The duo are also the co-founders of Polychrome Audio, a record label through which they showcase their broad spectrum of sounds.

Mucho se ha dicho en las calles sobre la suerte de los humanos cuando llega un viernes 13; malos augurios convertidos en realidad y un par de hechos que lo corroboran. Pero nosotros no creemos en tradiciones catastróficas. Más bien, nos dedicamos a imaginar el mundo en matices cada vez más bellos cuando la música suena. Por eso, decidimos grabar la sesión de @marcellus-pittman ese viernes 13 de agosto de 2021 en Videoclub. Esa noche –la que recibía oficialmente la reapertura de la fiesta en Bogotá– el X cobró vida a través de los cuerpos de quienes llenaron el espacio a punta de baile y gozo.

Mañana, en el estreno de la nueva temporada de +ruido[radio], tendremos la prueba fehaciente de que la mala suerte en el viernes 13 no es mucho más que un chisme de andén. Cátedra fiestera en vinilo por cortesía de un maestro de Detroit. Recuerdo de una noche que nunca debió acabar. 

Ahora si, despeje la sala e invite a les amigues, porque la fiesta será en casa.

To round off March we are blessed with a mix from one of Seattle's finest selectors; @kinjo. Running the label @rhizome-seattle, he cultivates an exciting metaphysical space for talented producers worthy of the spotlight while his Makes Me Human parties have brought stalwarts of the minimal scene to Seattle including; Janeret, Varhat, and, Mihigh, to name a few. This mix showcases his deep knowledge of (ro)minimal, maintaining the slickest groove you've heard in a long time.

A Los Angeles stalwart who’s 20 year career and counting has inspired many in scenes across the globe.  They are responsible for the curation of events like Dusk Camp, Surround as well as a resident of Making Shapes in Los Angeles. _mr_jennifer has taken their vision and musical style to dance floors in Berlin, Japan, Croatia, and Mexico city to name a few places. A varied listener of dance music for over two decades, Jason Kendig (soundcloud) grew up in Detroit, engrossed in the music being played on the radio in the 90s. Later, he quickly climbed ranks as a DJ there holding residencies at clubs like Motor before moving to San Francisco. After many years soaking up the west coast's vibes a recent transition back to the midwest has found him in Chicago where he was invited to become a resident of the esteemed Smart Bar. While racking up airline miles playing around the world at festivals and intimate club nights alike, Jason is still a key member of the San Francisco collective known as Honey Soundsystem. Including members Jacob Sperber aka Jackie House, Josh Cheon and Robert Yang aka Bezier, the crew has been bringing creativity to SF’s gay underground house and techno community for the past ten years by not only curating their own club nights but publishing music with their label HNYTRX. This month Bolting Bits invites Mr. Kendig to the decks for the continuation of our MIXED BY series.
