Hailing from the influential musical city of Manchester, rising star Matt Jenks tees up a real club barnstormer with ‘Anything You Want To’, recruiting the prolific (and utterly fabulous) Rowetta on vocal and co-writing duties.  The addition of two other prodigious tracks seal off a cracking EP for Street Tracks.

Jenks has already kick started his production career with aplomb.  Releases on Solardo’s Sola label, Roger Sanchez’s UNDR THE RADAR imprint and Koda Recordings have highly impressed, and his debut for Street Tracks continues to showcase this talented young artist.

And keeping in geographically tight, fellow Mancunian Rowetta delivers a first-class vocal on the title track.  Perhaps best known for delivering the vocal chops in the legendary Happy Mondays, Rowetta’s powerful and distinct voice can be heard across so many of dance music’s greatest hits, having been sampled by the likes of Todd Terry, DJ Zinc, Steve Angello, as well as collaborating with artists like Solardo, Yousef, Oliver Heldens and hosts more.

Rumbling sub-bass and bone-rattling percussive drums underpin ‘Anything You Want To’, as Rowetta adds her seductive touch, and a dandy melodic synth riff delivers a warm sheen to this first-class club cut.  ‘Step To It’ again pushes a heavy wandering bass to the fore, and hypnotic stabs and icy hi-hats drive this sultry track forward, leaving ‘Make A Move’ to sign off this killer EP in fine style with its frenetic bassline and energetic rises and drops.
