My laptop could not handle this one, I think I might have killed it off.  Oops (Crackling for days with everything on eco) ... regardless...

Well its safe to say a hefty number of plums went into the drums and the bass this time. 

BUT, what'd that leave me with? 

That's right, a distinct lack of plums. Though a lack of plums was probably essential to hit that note at around 1:50.

So I made a little beat layering with your drums and SFX. It was all going really smoothly and then I went a bit mad... so there's a bit of a shock at the end. Whether it should be there or not is to be debated I guess! Feel free to ignore it haha, it was a bit of a laugh! Cheers everyone!

Second comp entry. First serious attempt... ;)

So this is my take on the stems. Actually I wanted to make a rock track anyway, so thanks for providing this awesome synth riff which works very well on guitar (after transposing). I played everything on this myself (guitars, bass, keys, drum programming). The mix is far from perfect but it was all I could do on headphones and in the limited time frame.

And by the way: the first couple string intro chords have some nice 9's in em...

Thanks for doing these competitions! It's lots of fun and I learn so much!!!

Collaboration between me and Auralponic for Disclosure's Be Howard Competition 10. We called this one “I Just Want To Be”. Auralponic came with the basic idea and we worked it back and forth online between Los Angeles, California (USA) and Jakarta (Indonesia). I sang and wrote English lyrics on this one.
