We are honored here at Musicis4Lovers.com to be able to host the new remix from Nu and Acid Pauli of Daniel Bortz's beautiful composition, "The Misery feat. Nils Corssen". 

Daniel Bortz isn't a big fan of reckless experiments. A fact that makes this new release even more remarkable: he's breaking his own rule of not having his own tracks remixed.

Needless to say, he didn't just pick anyone to get this job done. His choice fell on some highly esteemed friends and colleagues, resulting in a quite remarkable package.

Acid Pauli and Nu give us their interpretation of “The Misery”, using Nils Corssen´s voice as a hook lead element, never losing the melancholy vibe of the original and still putting it into a rather dancefloor-compatible context.

Tale and Tone kicks off 2018 with the Dance Spirit EP. Label heads Hoj and Lee Burridge set out to showcase music that had both story and groove, and they are continuing to do so with this release.

The duo known as Dance Spirit join the Tale and Tone fold with “Wash Me Clean”. The track meanders through a groove like it’s strolling through a meadow. There is a purity to the sound Dance Spirit have created - subtle guitars, arps and melodies playfully talk to each other while the percussion keeps things rolling. As we get lost in this perfectly constructed groove, the vocals of Cari Golden take us away.

In the Dub Mix, Dance Spirit take us somewhere completely new. This isn’t a dub that just strips away the vocals. Although the heart of the groove is still present, this is a different kind of journey, maybe to a meadow somewhere in outer space. The groove is joined by tripped out soundscapes that keep you guessing where you’re going, and what you’ll see when you get there.

Dance Spirit also gives us their “23rd Dimension Portal Remix” - an ambient affair that presents the vocals of Cari Golden from somewhere in the 23rd dimension. With this EP, Dance Spirit shows their craft and their endless versatility. They give us a listen to their unique world, and we can’t wait to hear more.

London Producer and DJ Geist (@glenc), who now resides in Sweden, is thrilled to release 'Babylon Calling.' This deep EP composed of 5 tracks (3 originals and 2 remixes) takes us through a historic journey of greek mythology and kingdoms. 'Babylon Calling' carefully narrates a story with modern sounds that act as a tool for creating an imaginary environment.

The arrangement tells a story of passage, a mysterious odyssey that can only be understood if you let yourself be dominated by its musicality and melancholic, yet mischievous, short melodies. Although the softness of this EP translates perfectly in a small listening environment, it can also stand strong in a club setting. For the 30th project on XYZ, a significant milestone for the imprint, we are thrilled to bring on Death on the Balcony for their debut EP with us. The British duo have crafted an immense reputation over the last decade for their ever-evolving style in the studio. Centered around laid-back house grooves and heady spoken word sampling, their recipe for blending classic hooks with innovative melodies has graced the likes of All Day I Dream, Kindisch, Suol, and Pets Recordings. Through the years, they continue to build upon an impressive catalogue teeming with character, and we are thrilled to connect with Mark and Paul on their latest material.

The Only Temporary EP is a reminder that all things come to an end; a welcome fact of life considering the world at the moment. Kicking off the project is Up Side Down, featuring a monologue that provides relevant and hopeful context about music’s power to uplift and inspire. Low-end drums and swirling rhythmic synths rest under a soft melody, allowing the words to cut deep.
