We made two tracks like this one (long and drawn-out), but this is the only of the two which I would consider passable. I really liked it at the time and even though I know it's pretty blehhrhgh I still have some fondness and personal attachment to it... at the time I thought I had pulled off the transition between both moods (around 4:30) fairly well.

This was one of our earlier tracks, but also the first we made which I would consider good. Before our first public album, we had an actually-first one that never got released. It had rougher, much more MIDI-sounding versions of the tracks we wrote.

From the game files, I mixed the battle theme (named "Fort Joy - Alternative Battle" in the most popular unofficial gamerip) so that it would have all four instruments at once playing. The cello track serves as the base. The bansuri is panned right, the oud to the left, and the tambura is center. The biggest challenge of this was isolating the instruments from their respective background tracks; while there are bits and pieces of stems in the files, I didn't have time to sort through the hundreds of files, so I used each instrument's final mix for this.

I usually don't upload someone else's music on here (well, at least, unless it's mashed up with something else), but given that I managed to dig up this rarity, I figured I might as well share it here too. Lyrics, download, and more info further down this description.

The song "Mysterious Guest" from the Divinity: Original Sin soundtrack was originally recorded in 1989 for a Russian hard-rock project named Может быть (Maybe). They recorded three albums from 1989 to 1990, but they were never officially released due to lack of funding.

The Divinity song finds its origins there: it was originally named Кто ты? (Who are you?). The Divinity version has re-recorded music that is layered on top, and the original version sits in the back of the mix, re-used from a bootleg Может быть album, hence the quiet vocals.

It's speculated that Tatiana Blinova and Svetlana Granovskaya allowed the use of the original vocals due to their friendship with the late Kirill Pokrovsky. And, in a way, it’s really cool that he found a way to finally release that almost-lost song, even if it took 25 years.

I used Spleeter to separate tracks from the various versions of this theme, so that I could combine the "Bobby" (Borislav Slavov, the game's composer) version, panned left, and the original version, sung by Tamaryn Payne (Lohse's voice actress), panned right.
