I Remember (feat. K Camp)

Max “Maxwell Smart” Perry is a Record Producer, Songwriter & Engineer from Brooklyn, New York. Max was born into a very musical family. His father, Fredro Perry, a drummer, songwriter, producer, and independent label owner, has gained success and has toured worldwide with his band, The Brooklyn Cowboys.

His uncle, Richard Perry, is one of the most successful record producers of all time, and was twice named Billboard Producer of the Year, producing artists like Ringo Starr, Rod Stewart, Harry Nilsson, Carly Simon, The Pointer Sisters, Barbra Streisand, Diana Ross, Tina Turner, Ray Charles, Fats Domino, Patti La Belle, and The Temptations to name a few. And his brother/partner, Gennessee, who he has done countless co­writes with, has worked with artists such as Mac Dre, One Block Radius, Too Short, Hell Rell, Paul Wall, AZ, and Chino XL.

Carving out his own spot in music, Max has produced for many artists from his hometown of New York such as Jim Jones, Prodigy, AZ, Sheek Louch, Tru­Life, Hell Rell, Max B, 40 Cal, and Paul Cain. The West Coast has also figured prominently in Max’s career. Traveling to California frequently since he was a teenager to work with his brother/partner Gennessee eventually led to working with artists like Berner, Mistah F.A.B, San Quinn, Messy Marv, Slim The Mobster, The Outlawz, Killa Tay, B­Legit & Matt Blaque.

Max had the honor of producing 3 tracks for the American Gangster: Mac Dre and the Romper Room Gang episode, which aired on BET in January 2009. In 2010 Max gained his first #1 Album on Billboard producing for Trina & Lyfe Jennings on Trina’s album “Amazin”.

In 2011, Max took the position as Head Engineer at Wash House Studios in Haleiwa, HI producing, mixing & recording for legendary Reggae Artists such as Morgan Heritage, SOJA, Junior Reid, Gappy Ranks, Fiji & Jboog, who’s Perry produced single “Smokin Bomb Bud” reached #1 on the iTunes Reggae Charts. Max is currently working with J Boog, Snoop Dogg, Berner, Wiz Khalifa, Twista, Big K.R.I.T & Vital Deshawn.
