What an incredible debut at Elsewhere opening the night for a few of my close friends and favorite DJs / selectors. From starting with an empty room to having the place shoulder to shoulder packed within 45 minutes. Words cannot describe how grateful I am for everyone that pulled up to support, danced their heart out and showed so much love. This is such a special set for me and a night I truly will never forget 💕.

About him : "After highschool graduation, Johannes moved to Cologne to study jazz drums, where he also started deejaying, and quickly made a name for himself in the vivid house and techno scene of the city. Here he also founded the internationally acknowledged vinyl label "ancient future now" and was significantly involved in the development and opening of the by-now renowned Cologne club institution "JackWho", where he is a resident DJ and booking agent.
Besides all of those acitivities, Johannes also made a reputation as a top-notch drummer - with bands like the up-and-coming pop act VIMES or his own krautjazz band C.A.R. - as well as a sought after producer, for example trough his Latewood EP (2015), which attracted highest attraction in the international club scene, or a release on legendary Japanese label Mule Musiq in 2016. This led to a busy touring schedule as a DJ and drummer to places and clubs all around the world, be it in Germany, Europe, America or Asia.
Stylistically there has never been a point in Johannes' life, where you could have pinned him down to just one genre or musical direction. He is deeply convinced that the occasional thinking outside the box will help you create more exciting art. This is also reflected in his DJ sets, which can offer tasteful eclectic genre-hopping on the one day and straight consistent deepness on the other night."

Let's welcome Frankfurt-raised and Berlin-based DJ, producer, label owner, ace drummer, and piano player Johannes Klingebiel. We at LIVE AT ROBERT JOHNSON are very proud to release his 4-track EP entitled »For Everything«.

And let's just get to the point: »For Everything« is a tune for every situation and for everyone - why? Because it has all the typical Klingebiel elements: A play- and joyful dreamy sound with a fat boom-bap beat. What else do you need?! And yes: You CAN fade to grey with it … yes, it has got this vibe.

»Torso«'s torso is built on the same ingredients as the title track: Take a thumping bass drum, add some dreamy harmonies and you get a fresh and wistful track for the early club hours. 

Up next is »Not Today« where Johannes reduces the speed to achieve a trance-like effect with this deep, deep web of sound. Again he convinces you with beautiful harmonies that suck you deep into the groove - maybe »Not Today« but definitely tomorrow.

»In The End It Did Not Matter« - the last tune on this EP - of course DOES matter. Mr. Klingebiel speeds up again and adds a layer of synth sounds keeping the overall dreamful atmosphere alive and vibrant for you to take full advantage on your favorite dancefloor - be it as a listener or dancer or as the shaman of the night, the DJ:

Distancia will be released August 25th on Beatport followed by a world wide release on September 8th.

Space Medicine Feat. monotropa.

2023 has been a year full of transitions for me. Truthfully it's been the most trying time of my life. Finally getting the feeling of having your feet underneath you only to have the ground slowly crumble again and again. This mix to me feels like a continuation of 'Halos', but with the light at the end of the tunnel slowly coming into focus. I wanted every song to invoke either a shot of serotonin or some introspection. I hope you enjoy and feel through it 💕
