My SECOND go at GarageBand. A little better, I think, but still rather poorly done. I do really love the song itself, though, as a composition. But it's been almost a decade and I STILL haven't finished writing it.

This is an incredibly well-written song about an giant squid, if I'm not mistaken. Jonathan Coulton is in my opinion one of the most incredible songwriters out there. He's goofy and funny at the same time he's hitting me somewhere deep and real. He can write a song about a anything and it could simultaneously bring a tear to your eye and a smile to your lips. This has always been the one of my songs that people seem to like best, and I can't for the life of me figure out why. It's good, I guess, but it's just definitely not my favorite. Plus, I'm shit at the guitar. Huh.

I wrote this song about my friend and a guy he was dating. It's not clear to me if this is about the way I felt about one or both of them, or if I was trying to guess how they felt, or what. Anyway, it's a hell of a fun song to sing, but I hate listening to it.
