Burn Me At The Stake

RIP D'Angelo, one of the greatest voices of the 90s and 2000's RnB scene. This song Brown Sugar has always been close to my heart, and the day I heard he had left us too soon at the age of just 51 years old I was inspired to make this mashup as a tribute to his genius. 

I love how well it blends with this masterpiece of a song by Parkbreezy. Liminal reality is hard to categorize with a single genre, which is part of what I love about it, and I play this song in my DJ sets often. It's usually got a sample of Freak Nasty's Da Dip in drop 2 but I used Rekordbox to remove the vocals as I made the mashup live in the DJ software.
