M-Corp played a short live 'greatest hits' set in Queen Elizabeth Gardens, Salisbury on May 18th 2024 to a small but enthusiastic crowd. A melodica was occasionally used to deafen everyone. Things went okay for a first gig. 

The recording available here for free was made using a smartphone directly next to the performer's laptop so as to get both the PA audio and audience reaction, in the hope that this could then be mixed with a soundboard recording kindly taken by the sound engineers on the day. They have yet to send their recording over, so for now we shall have to make do with the smartphone recording. Apologies for the inconsistent sound quality, but hopefully it gives you an idea of what the day was like.

This is a very silly bastardisation of an old Aphex Twin song, with rap lyrics written by M-Corp in 2024. Additional mixing and mastering by Greystar. It was made specifically for an Aphex Twin tribute album - 'Selected Ambient Reworks 16-24', available now at braindancenews.bandcamp.com

The Music Makers (M-Corp Vocal Reprise)

A creative response to a very peculiar warbling birdsong during my daily walk. After the field recording, I recording a solo on synth pads while the birdsong was running in the background, allowing the natural world to influence every corner of this track in subtle and not-so-subtle ways. An out-take from the 'Alecto Nerva Muzak 24' project, completed Dec 2024. Thanks to the Institute for Alien Research.

The Waxen Pith (M-Corp Rework)

Feels like aeons since I last uploaded a track. Anyway, here's this month's offering - a topical reinterpretation of Kraftwerk's 'Europe Endless', a reflection of shattered dreams that is open to interpretation. I do not wish to be aligned with any side of the Brexit argument with this song; the whole thing's a mess whichever way you look at it but enough about that. To be featured on an upcoming EP, probably 4 or 5 tracks...
