An initiative by Darker Than Wax (Singapore) and Cascade Records (France), independent labels from different continents have come together to present a very special and heartfelt project, known as 'Feelings in Colour".

This LP marks a milestone, besides being an exclusive collaboration between the labels - it also features a conglomerate of many different artistes from all over the world.

Resonating with the covert ideology and movement within the creative independent sphere in the two Metropolitan cities of Singapore and Paris - both spearheaded by dedicated locals who push to develop the alternative, forward thinking culture within their respective cities, while inadvertently appealing and reaching out to international talents and fans.

With stalwarts from the likes of Amin Payne (Australia), OhBliv (US), ILL SUGI (Japan), Samuel Truth (New Zealand), Milo Mills (Austria), Trian Kayhatu (Holland), and founders of Darker Than Wax, Cosa Nostra (Singapore) - this release speaks great volumes that yield an amazing experience.

While genres are disparate – future beats, deep house, bass etc.. – the creative concept isn’t. From the minor details of thoughts put into it, to the artistes' passion and competence, every single contribution is accounted for into making this a really special affair.

"Feelings in Colour" is the thread that weaves the music into the movement- cut from the same cloth.

Maxx Mortimer is an artist whose credentials run deep, having spent over 12 years honing his craft and paying his dues.
He is one of the rare producers who can match his production skills with his abilities on the decks. Originally known as 
Dj Import, Maxx Mortimer first burst upon the New Zealand electronic scene as one of the countries most sort after D&B DJ's
His pin point precision and technicality is only bettered by his flow and ability to read a dance-floor, it wasn't long before
Maxx Mortimer (Import) was regularly supporting the likes of Andy C, Noisia, DJ Hype, Roc Raiders, DJ Craze & Bailey to name a few. Not one to rest on reputation, Maxx Mortimer (Import) then entered the highly coveted Rumble in the Jungle,the national DJ competition, which in 2008 was crowned champion. 
Always looking for an new challenge Maxx Mortimer changed musical direction, encouraged by the groove and space found at 
lower tempos,  Maxx focused his production on the 120-130bpm range. Not one to be boxed in by convention or genres what Maxx 
produce's can simply be described as bass music, with emphasis on groove and funk coupled with high quality production standards
Maxx Mortimer has begun to gain international recognition. His collaboration "Always be there" with fellow Kiwi Chromatic
was played by B-Traits on BBC's Radio 1, she referred to Maxx as an "Up & Coming producer to watch".
