Expect nothing less than full force big room beats of an epic proportion as Dutch party-starters Bassjackers and EDM duo Saberz bring their debut collaboration to Smash The House with ‘Lose It.’

An electrifying release, ‘Lose It’ immediately hooks you in with an isolated synth riff forming the anthemic, clap-along melody to which a robotic voice chants “We want to see everyone lose control.” In no time at all, stonking big room beats, punchy drum pads and a thrusting bass send adrenaline levels soaring and unleash the full hedonistic powers of this mainstage monster that is ‘Lose It.’

After first exploding onto the scene in 2011 with ‘Mush Mush’ out on Tïesto’s Musical Freedom imprint, Bassjackers have gone on to become one of the biggest dance music sensations of the last decade. Together they have collaborated with a star-studded list of artists including Martin Garrix, Afrojack, R3hab, KSHMR, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and x3 Grammy Award winner Ne-Yo. Hungarian duo SaberZ have sparked industry interest in recent years from dance music supremes Hardwell, Armin Van Buuren, Tïesto, W&W and Timmy Trumpet. Their big-room energy, irresistible danceability, and even trance inspired beats, have resulted in signings with Revealed Recordings, Rave Culture/Armada Music and MarLo’s Reaching Altitude. I was originally inspired by the song Tsunami by DVBBS & Borgeous because it gave off a great naval vibe and I thought it would interesting to mash it up with the Pirate's theme. However, after experimenting with a direct mash-up I found out that it actually didn't work so I decided instead to construct a remix from scratch. Hence after working on this track throughout winter break, this remix was born! Elements include a naval battle vibe as well as I also wanted to incorporating imagery of large boat party where perhaps the pirates are celebrating a recent victory. The Jack Sparrow sample should also be instantly recognizable.

Bassjackers and Tony Junior join forces on this repurposed rendition of Alphaville’s 1984 synth-pop classic ‘Forever Young’.

The lyrics to Alphaville’s original have been recycled a huge number of times, with one of the most notable being Mr. Hudson’s take on the classic melody on Jay-Z’s ‘Young Forever’. This time however, Bassjackers and Tony Junior display Dutch excellence and take a new route by using hardstyle and big room influence to manufacture a new and exciting outlook on the timeless original.

Bassjackers, a producer and DJ duo from The Netherlands, have been turning heads in the industry since the release of their 2011 breakthrough hit ‘Mush Mush’, which was picked up and released by Tiësto and his label Musical Freedom. Aside from this however, the pair convey a unique and refreshing image via their chalk and cheese personas. Marlon Flohr, who is the DJ, is known mostly for his energetic and often wild stage presence, whereas Ralph van Hilst, the producer, is known for being cool, calm and collected.

Tony Junior, who is also Dutch, is one of the most recognisable faces in the industry. This is partly down to the rock and roll appearance he displays – the long hair and tattoos add a certain edge to his aesthetic style. Tony Junior broke on to the scene via a plethora of huge collaborations with the likes of Steve Aoki, Tiësto and Kura. Ever since then, the Dutch selector has never looked back, with massively successful releases on Spinnin’, Dim Mak and Musical Freedom.
