The first release of the Global Soundscape mix series is here! 

This special invocation titled Blooming Beginnings marks the start of a series of forthcoming releases dedicated to an expansive dance-trance sound journey across the global soundscape. The essence of these song selections bring together the fusion of state of the art electronic productions, containing the emphasis of world music flavors and surfacing an array of cross-cultural melodies, rhythms and samples to excite the ears, open the heart and move the body. 

This mix is designed NOT to be genre specific but rather curated by a flow of feelings and qualities that lead you through a diverse blend of intercultural music environments both organic and synthesized. The ever-changing flow of various tempos, genres and music traditions both old and new are intensionally put together to inspire and celebrate the dance of life, the human spirit and the creative expression of all cultures.

As we welcome in Spring and the unfolding of a new year of exploration, healing and reciprocity, I invite you to surrender yourself to the graceful ecstasy of existence and rejoice in the collective heart beat of our pulsating planet through music.

Music and dance are my biggest joys in life, and deejaying is how I experience comperison most effortlessly.  This set flowed out of me.  I like to think, because it was time to submit my audition tape for the Ecstatic dances of the bay area, my home.  Enjoy this journey <3

Cruise: deep. unwavering. 

There are many different approaches to building the journey we call Ecstatic Dance. Here at Ecstatic Dance Records we refer to the following “phases” for the Ecstatic Dance journey: 
Arrival * Buildup * Peak * Cruise * Landing * Integration 

Arrival tracks welcome the community to the space and the dance floor. Buildup tracks get the energy moving. Peak tracks are for catharsis and climax. Cruise tracks are played between peaks, giving the dancers a chance to get recharged. Landing tracks carry the dancers down from the final peak into the heart. Integration tracks are played at the end of the journey to hold the “beingness” after all of the dancing “doingness”.
