My favorite set at burning man this year 🔥

Dear friends, I'm grateful to share with you the recording of a morning session I had the pleasure to DJ on the cutest art car, Lucy S Cargo the colourful Sonic Snail 🌈  after sunrise on Friday AM at Burning Man 2024.

It was a sunny Friday morning on this love planet, smiling and taking life as it comes, lightly and playfully. 

I was so glad to DJ alongside @christianvoldstad and after my brother @dextercrowe who was soundtracking his first sunrise session on the playa so beautifully! I recommend you start with his set so you can hear the earlier chapter of this sunrise journey.

Imagine playing music for 1000+ skeletons. 😆 After just flying from Hawaii to Mexico overnight. For sure one of the most challenging shows of my career - but at the same time, one of the best. ❤️ I played an earlier set, transitioning into the night before handing the decks over to Sainte Vie. I loved the challenge, and made the dead dance. A million thanks for the trust in my music, Deborah and to the entire team for an immaculate production.

¨Returning to the desert after two years and playing on the impressive new Galaxyer art car for my Mexican fam surrounded by so many dear friends was pure bliss and very emotional for me. I touched almost the sunrise of Thursday morning and could dance under the pink clouds framed by the iconic lasers and the impressive fire show. 

This year was one of the best Burns I had so far, I received so much love and I am beyond grateful for every single minute. Thank you to the Mayan Warrior crew for your trust over so many years!¨

Mayan Warrior is the result of a collaborative project that has united artists, craftsmen, photographers, designers, technologists, architects and musicians from Mexico City and Northern California. 

The project’s original intent was to present to the world the incredible ascent of contemporary Mexican electronic music while paying respect to the deep and ancient sources from which that visual and auditory culture had grown.


Both light and sound are curated by some of the world’s most prominent artists to transport participants to the very origins of the culture – and to a new understanding of contemporary electronic expression.

AND YES: Mayan Warrior is driven from Mexico City to the playa – and back – each year. It's a labor of love and we're glad so many people enjoy it.
