This set was recorded live in Playa Venao, Panama for Weekend 2 of Reactor Venao festival. I played from 1:00-4:00am inside of the Reactor project and was really feeding off of the high energy from the dancefloor during the entire 3 hours -- it was such an epic and unforgettable night. I had the privilege of playing a late-in-the-night set for a wonderfully full cuddlepuddle floor at the kiez burn decompression night at Birgit, Berlin. What a beautiful collection of humans. I appreciate Berlin‘s burner community so much - the love, generosity, creativity, dedication and expertise are through the roof.

I was a little experimental at times in this set... let me know what you think, all feedback is welcome!

Arula's sensual, dark feminine set from Camp Kiss on Friday night and Burning Man 2024💋

From Arula:

When I was invited to play a set for 'The Dark Feminine' act at the Friday night Cave of Curiosity event, I felt an undeniable, full-body yes. The dark feminine archetype is woven deeply into my being, and crafting a musical journey that embodies its sensual, shadowy essence is one of my deepest pleasures.

As with every Kiss party, the air was charged with energy, a beautiful dance of souls weaving through the many activated spaces. Playing in the tea house—a space that pulses with intimacy and allure—was pure magic. I dedicate this set to my connection with the dark feminine's enchantment and to those who embrace their full spectrum, for the light cannot exist without the dark.

This set began with an enticing uptempo groove, gradually slipping into a slow, delicious downtempo, laced with a few of my originals and even an unreleased track. To those who found sanctuary in the tea space, thank you for sharing the night with me. I’m deeply grateful for your presence and energy.



Arula @ KISS | Burning Man 2024

Burning Man, Maxa, you are magic! This year marked my third time playing at the majestic Maxa deer, and every moment felt like a dream. This was a very special set for me, I opened with an excerpt of a piano piece composed by my mom, a deeply meaningful and personal tribute. It was also the debut of tracks from my upcoming album, including the closing song, “Sailing to the Moon,” a track that evokes the essence of the personal journeys we all embark on.

Throughout my musical journey, I’ve often reflected on my sonic identity. In this ongoing quest to define what Le Président sounds like, I truly feel like this set  embodies and represents my sound as it stands today.

This year, I also had the privilege of playing alongside underneath above the Maxa deer during Temple Burn, accompanying the incredible performances of Unders, Zohar, and Jac Hoja,  an unforgettable moment of profound connection.

Thank you for being part of this journey, and for allowing me to share these moments with you under the beautiful desert sky. 🌌✨

A heartfelt thanks to Neto, Marty, and the entire Maxa family for having me and making this experience unforgettable.

Mayan Warrior is the result of a collaborative project that has united artists, craftsmen, photographers, designers, technologists, architects and musicians from Mexico City and Northern California. 

The project’s original intent was to present to the world the incredible ascent of contemporary Mexican electronic music while paying respect to the deep and ancient sources from which that visual and auditory culture had grown.


Both light and sound are curated by some of the world’s most prominent artists to transport participants to the very origins of the culture – and to a new understanding of contemporary electronic expression.

AND YES: Mayan Warrior is driven from Mexico City to the playa – and back – each year. It's a labor of love and we're glad so many people enjoy it.
