Love Machine is a restorative musical and wellness getaway in the sun-bathed and boulder-strewn mountains of Jacumba, California. This magical escape returns May 6-9th 2022 with an all-new third stage and a tasteful line-up of international musical legends old and new, including Roman Flugel, Âme, Doc Martin, Riva Starr, Marc Houle, Colyn, Oliver Koletzki, Jimi Jules, Jennifer Cardini, Sacha Robotti, Serge Devant, Trikk, Echonomist, D’Julz, David Hohme, Mihai Popivicu, and many more. 

 Located an hour outside San Diego, Love Machine is an all-encompassing mix of art, yoga, music, workshops, and lifestyle awareness with experts and performers from the local areas as well as around the world. It is located well away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life in the stunning Jacumba Hot Springs, an unincorporated community in the Mountain Empire area of southeastern San Diego County. It boasts a recently renovated restaurant with two pools and a spa and a wealth of natural features, a hot spring, and clean air that will make you forget all your woes and worries in an instant. 

On top of the usual two, this year will feature a third stage to host day parties, and it will be nestled in the center of the festival grounds and decked out with a custom pool, cabanas, shaded tapestry, lounges, misting station, and bar that allow you to take advantage of the hot desert sun and enjoy a little vibration while jumping in for a dip to escape the heat.

Love Machine is an idyllic getaway and a perfect way to set your life and restore much-needed balance with like-minded people and a world-class soundtrack.

Jennifer Cardini - Mayan Warrior - Wednesday Night -  Burning Man - 2015

Only a couple weekends ago were we discussing the motivations of Sam Russo as he delved into conversation with his friend and studio collaborator, Huxley. Opening up for an honest account of both of their careers to date, it’s worth reading if only for the context of this introduction. Russo’s has been a little bit of a wayward journey - with his early house material finding a home on Matt Tolfrey’s Leftroom label he seemingly took stock and changed tack, making a conscious decision to make music that asserted himself as an artist rather than a monetize-able commodity.

In the time since Russo’s proven his chops as an adept and adaptable audio engineer, revelling in the benefits of allowing himself to discover the limits of his sonic capabilities slowly, content to build a respected body of work that he could consider timeless in terms of musical associations and niches. With that said he has been busy engineering a plethora of tracks for our esteemed resident Craig Richards, spawning a new and enigmatic collaborative outfit with the aforementioned Huxley and making an abundance of material under a new alias.

Set to link up with the Leftroom collective to help celebrate their 10th year in operation by returning to the rotary in Room One this Halloween, he himself is toasting his immediate future with a new and exclusive mix that sonically illustrates exactly the kind of progression he's been discussing as of late.

Mayan Warrior is the result of a collaborative project that has united artists, craftsmen, photographers, designers, technologists, architects and musicians from Mexico City and Northern California. 

The project’s original intent was to present to the world the incredible ascent of contemporary Mexican electronic music while paying respect to the deep and ancient sources from which that visual and auditory culture had grown.


Both light and sound are curated by some of the world’s most prominent artists to transport participants to the very origins of the culture – and to a new understanding of contemporary electronic expression.

AND YES: Mayan Warrior is driven from Mexico City to the playa – and back – each year. It's a labor of love and we're glad so many people enjoy it.
