Isaiah Martin has been an integral part of programming the music for PlayAlchemist for years and is our Music Maestro for the annual Alchemist Ball. This year he invited Marieme and Snow Raven to perform live with him and the magic inside the pyramid was electric! Their set was completely unrehearsed and a pure flow state of music. Welcome to a throwback to one of the wildest nights we've had in Amsterdam. We had the honour to welcome the amazing French duo RAMMÖ playing an all-nighter set for us in the second room.

During this night, The lucky ones know that, once you stepped in the room, there was no point of return. You would spend hours captured by their sound. Every track was almost hypnotising. Every track was simply out of this world.

That day we saw, the RAMMÖ effect and today we are happy to be able to share this with the world. So, buckle up because you're about to go on a wild ride.

It’s pretty hard to describe anything from Burning Man without using phrases, sounding pathetic or cheesy. 
So maybe I shouldn’t try. Or I just don’t care about it?
Pablo asked for a little intro about my set in the tie-up night with Robot Heart when I played the Mayan Warrior art car, so here we go:
Every night, when the Mayan Warrior art car leaves its camp on it’s way to the deep playa it feels pretty sublime, like a wake up call for the rave kids with this drum beats, like a ritual where they follow it’s spiritual leader, the warrior dancer follow their flagship art car, it’s getting more and more crowded, surrounded by hundreds of bikes and of course I’m super nervous entering this elevated Dj booth, shaking from the bass or is it just me? And from one moment to another I am in the middle of lasers and fire, I am taking over the booth and after a second I’ve forgotten every fear and just start playing...

Mayan Warrior is the result of a collaborative project that has united artists, craftsmen, photographers, designers, technologists, architects and musicians from Mexico City and Northern California. 

The project’s original intent was to present to the world the incredible ascent of contemporary Mexican electronic music while paying respect to the deep and ancient sources from which that visual and auditory culture had grown.


Both light and sound are curated by some of the world’s most prominent artists to transport participants to the very origins of the culture – and to a new understanding of contemporary electronic expression.

AND YES: Mayan Warrior is driven from Mexico City to the playa – and back – each year. It's a labor of love and we're glad so many people enjoy it.
