Already one of my favorite sets and right up there with Miss Melera’s 2014 DGTL set who, go figure, also played GusGus – Crossfade (Maceo Plex remix). But this reminds you why you love house music. The set has that drive which keeps you dancing but also that ethereal sound to really let you float away in your thoughts, time and space. 2022 was my first and, for now, only burn and this set really brings out all the great memories of that first Playa experience.

This set was recorded live in Playa Venao, Panama for Weekend 2 of Reactor Venao festival. I played from 1:00-4:00am inside of the Reactor project and was really feeding off of the high energy from the dancefloor during the entire 3 hours -- it was such an epic and unforgettable night. Hope you enjoy the ride! :) And if you were there, hope this brings you back to that moment. ♥ Julya

Words can't describe yet another sunrise of epic proportions this time at the C.A.M.P. (Calling all Magical People) co-created gathering. Right at the beginning of my DJ set at 4:30 am on July 4th (US Independence Day) the cops showed up to try to shut the party down due to noise complaints.

I had the difficult task of keeping the decibel levels under a certain threshold, so I had to nurture a huge dance floor for the closing set of the festival until 7am somewhat quietly until we were able to ramp up the volume to proper dance floor levels.

I am not sure if it was that we all wanted this so badly, or the majestic rays of sunshine coming down upon us, all I know is that 17 encore songs & tracks after the supposedly closing "Lovely Day" song, we kept raving and raging until we almost dropped.

One of the most memorable mornings in my 21 years of DJ'ing. Here's the recording of the full 4.5 hrs of the closing sunrise DJ set. I hope it takes you all back and for those of you who weren't there I hope it brings you the sunrise  joy and magic we collectively had.

“This was the first night back on the playa since 2019, and also the first night of my first burn. I was still getting my bearings, and now here we were, biking in search of the famed Mayan Warrior in the middle of a dust storm with nearly whiteout conditions — it was one of those surreal images of Burning Man that will be with me forever.

We followed the art car into the dust until it parked in front of the “Reflection” art piece. Once aboard the Mayan, I was stunned by the sea of colorful lights illuminating the dark desert, a scene beyond imagination. This set is the result of the incomparable, pulsating energy from everyone around me — it was like nothing I’ve ever experienced.

To have had the opportunity to play for the 10 year anniversary of Mayan Warrior was a huge honor. Thank you to the entire MW crew who made this dream come true, and to everyone who came out to support and welcome me home. xx Julya ”

Playing on the Robot Heart bus at Burning Man is a dream I’ll never get tired of living. Robot Heart is a constant source of inspiration to me and so many others! Grateful for the opportunity to play on the bus again. 

This year (2024), my set time was Monday Morning at 7:00 am so I wanted to prepare something special for the beginning of an unforgettable week. 

I decided to play a live set filled with most of the Edits/Remixes I’ve made along the years (for example: Edits/Remixes I’ve made of Alice Coltrane, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Michelle Gurevich, Acid Pauli, Nicolas Jaar, Fred Again, etc…). 

I honestly couldn’t be happier with the result of this experiment!
