This set was recorded live in Playa Venao, Panama for Weekend 2 of Reactor Venao festival. I played from 1:00-4:00am inside of the Reactor project and was really feeding off of the high energy from the dancefloor during the entire 3 hours -- it was such an epic and unforgettable night. Ever since I saw the Warrior go out into the playa for the first time in 2014 and lived the magic of chasing music in the most psychedelic ambiance there exists, I dreamt of this moment. So it’s no secret that It fills my heart with gratitude and excitement to have been able to share this dream as part of the Warrior’s 10 year celebration. Playing in front of the beautiful Ilumina sculpture, cruising the playa while curating the soundtrack on the Warrior’s powerful sound system and seeing  all the bikes follow the Warrior and settle in front of an amazing LED lit dance floor is an experience that can only take place in this magical surreal experience we call Burning Man.
Huge thanks to all the ravers that came and danced to my music, thank you for your support and kind words, it is always so gratifying to share music I love with all of you.
 Huge thanks to the Mayan Warrior team for always going above and beyond, for creating communities of friends that last lifetimes, for allowing space for creativity and dancing. ¨There are very few more surreal and mind-blowing setups one can play than standing behind the decks on an art car at Burning Man. Next level is when the art car is driving and another one when you are driving through a sandstorm. All of this happened when I had the pleasure to play Mayan Warrior’s new stunning Galaxyer. We set off just after the Man-burn Saturday night and rode into deep playa, followed by a herd of colourful, blinking people on their bikes, cheering whilst weathering the storm. And when we parked, the moving energy turned into a powerful dancefloor within minutes. These experiences are so extraordinary and rewarding in so many ways, one of the main reasons why I come back to the desert over and over again. So thank you to everybody who came a long for the ride.

When Rodrigo asked me if I wanted to come up with something special to set the tone for the man-burn night, my answer was obviously Yes. Tbh he could have asked for anything, as there is no question when one gets the chance to participate and play for this amazing collective. 

Thank you so much for your trust, inviting me into the tribe and all the handwork that goes into making all of it possible. I will never forget it and I hope this recording will transport you and convey the
magic just a little bit. It was a true honour to be part of your crazy endeavour!

“To be the first artist on Monday night at Burning Man on the new Mayan Warrior Galaxyer is likely the biggest honor as DJ of 24 years. As a practicing Architect and touring DJ, the admiration I hold for the work Mayan Warrior weaves together to bring the highest level of design, sound, lighting and music, in the form of an “artcar” is endless. 
Having not seen the new design of the Mayan Warrior art car the night of my set, and being lost in the desert, trying to find it was an adventure that almost cost me missing my set. I had no idea what to look for. The only clue I could think about was lasers… but in the hectic sky of Black Rock City, the commanding, brightest vertical laser beam, connecting deep into the cosmos was my only clue. 

With less than 10 minutes until the beginning of my DJ set, and out of breath form vigorously riding my bike to arrive to the Galaxyer on time, there was no time to overthink it. I plugged into the systems, set the controls for the galaxy and let the music flow… Prepare for my cinematic & cosmic musical journey aboard the new Mayan Warrior Galaxyer; featuring tracks of mine which I wrote dreaming of playing them on this amazing creation, plus some old ones from 2001. Flying that spaceship was truly legendary. 

Eternal gratitude to the Mayan Warrior family (the entire crew and Amal, Pablo & Rodrigo), for having me be a part of the Galaxyer’s re-birth story, and all of you who were there on playa on this special night.”

 Here is the recording of my very first sunrise set at Burning Man 2018 in the Black Rock Desert. I started playing around 5:45 am, the lights and lasers were still glowing in the cold darkness of the night..as the songs were passing by, the sky turned blue and the horizon warmer. Burners were all facing the deep playa, waiting for the sun to appear. It was an honour to soundtrack this moment and share music in such a magical place. No matter how hard I try, words can barely describe the energy and emotions felt in that instant... I hope music can express it better. 

I'd like to thank Maxa Camp & The Gardens of Babylon for inviting me to play on this beautiful Xaman Art Car...the mystical blue deer.   I’m very grateful to have shared this moment with so many incredible souls, old and new friends.

Kicking off this OVNI series is label boss, French producer, ANGRY LUNA aka. LUNARAVE  for a short retro futuristic talk before the two one-hour showcase mixes he made for radiozora.

AngrY LunA is a Heavy Psytrance style Epic melodies, high-tech Fxs and blasting Rythms on fast bpm (160 to 230) ... Keep all from Lunarave's universe but definitely more... angry !

Cosmos, travel, time and History, symbolic notions Lunarave wants to share through his musical universe. In 2004, within the Psynap's crew and later in 2006, on Hadra Records, Lunarave starts introducing his very own style and touch. After 2 album release with great succes on Hadra records, In 2012, he met Neokontrol and together they founded OVNI Records. Now working on side projects such as LovPacT, or AngrY LunA, the hi-tech side project, stay tuned and have taste of his latest production at his next appearance !

Mayan Warrior is the result of a collaborative project that has united artists, craftsmen, photographers, designers, technologists, architects and musicians from Mexico City and Northern California. 

The project’s original intent was to present to the world the incredible ascent of contemporary Mexican electronic music while paying respect to the deep and ancient sources from which that visual and auditory culture had grown.


Both light and sound are curated by some of the world’s most prominent artists to transport participants to the very origins of the culture – and to a new understanding of contemporary electronic expression.

AND YES: Mayan Warrior is driven from Mexico City to the playa – and back – each year. It's a labor of love and we're glad so many people enjoy it.
