The Trouble Souls - Reggae Infused album takes classic tracks from Holiday and Simone's catalogs and remixes or re-records the accompanying music, replacing their original jazz and soul backings with a distinct, reggae-infused sound, often attributed to a group referred to as "The Jamaica Band". It compiles powerful, emotionally charged performances from both artists and presents them in a new musical context. The goal is to bridge the gap between classic vocal jazz/soul and the infectious rhythms of reggae music.
