Having a bit of fun on my take on traditional blues.
Playing guitar, bass and harmonica. Hammond sound and drums played/created with midi keyboard through Studio One daw.

My friends they all say, I’ve got to pay my dues.
I’ll never be no guitar man , till I’ve played the blues
They say rock is fine and it can get you by
But you gotta dig deep inside for those words that make you cry
And then and only then, can you call your self a real blues man.
But these are Not Quite the Blues

Got me a pen and paper to write down what I’d say
Picked up my guitar and thought I’d play in the key of A
But I just drew a blank, and the words just wouldn’t come.
Maybe the mood just wasn’t right, so had me a shot of rum.
That was a big mistake,  now I can’t even play my guitar.
But these are Not Quite the Blues

I’m thinking maybe, I may of had it easy.
Nothing too troublesome, and nothing to drive me crazy
Life has been pretty good, really can’t complain.
So many have had it bad and can tell you all about the about pain.
Take a look around you and you’ll see you’ve had it pretty good.

If I could make a deal with God, thats perfect. 
Although hes quite an awkward sod its worth it. Cos her eyes are full of multicoloured promises (though the boys all know the truth).
Holly Golightly, as good as she needs to be. Ever so slightly took my heart & very discreetly embedded her hooks in me. Ever so sweetly she goes on & on.
Far away is far enough..its tragic.Shes just a girl who can`t say yes..fantastic! And her songs are filled with nicely crafted metaphors but that still don`t make them true.
HG, its love as its meant to be. Call it unsightly but its ours. To paraphrase Gandhi  "where there is love we`ll be" which is all very handy but its hard.
She says that "ornamental pearls look good on fake & plastic girls" and though its just a joke she still believes it.

This is it! 10 story sections, 10 releases of varying lengths. 

One interesting note about these last two pieces of music: The first one (Twelve Speaks Again) is about the newest thing I've written, and the second one (Home) is one of the oldest things included in the entire Time Machine Chronicles, dating from about December of 2000. I remember the date well, because I was hiking to the bottom of the Grand Canyon with my pops. The idea that music preserves memory has been a huge part of this project.

Thanks for coming along on the journey, it's been a blast.
